Spend 3 days at Riverside RV in Whistler B.C. through New Years Eve, They had lots of snow for the tobogganing and skiing. We have been doing this for a few years, nice way to bring in the New year. A few pictures at this link

VE7EDL,

How long a drive from the RV park to the Ski Areas?

Thanks.

I'm thinking maybe 10 minutes, but they should have a shuttle.
How many rigs were there?

We're heading up to Mt. Washington in a few weeks, they have a 360 cm base right now. Great time to be a skiier.

The ski area is only 5 minutes away, in one of the pics you can see the ski runs on Whistler, this picture location was a 5 minute walk from the resort. They are running a great setup for winter, the water is heated to your site, I hookup my water hose which I have wrapped in heat tape and the water is fresh. They also have cable, sani and electricity at every site. The main building has a games room and a laundry mate for drying out your gear. We go there in the summer as well, there are lots of trails for mountain biking at your doorstep.

I am going to upload more pics tomorrow of some of the scenery and my family on the ski slopes.

Hi Collin, yes they do have a shuttle, but if I am there for a few days I unload the camper and use my truck. The campsite was full for New years, I bet there were over 40 rigs there.

BTW, Whistler is very expensive. It is one of the premier Ski resorts in the world. prices there are close to twice what they are in Vancouver. Also remember the winter Olympics will be there in 2 years. 20 years ago my ex wife (my wife at the time tried to talk me into buying a condo there for 25K. My response was Whistler will never go anywhere, the road up there is too dangerous in the winter. Shows how much real estate savy I have.

Does Whistler have a parking lot to Boondock overnight that is close to the lifts or the village? Most ski area allow this, but how about Whistler?
