We're looking at a 2006 LEPRECHANUN 318DS, with 2 slides, the V-10 Engine on the Ford Chassis. We like the layout and the cabinets. Just wondered if anyone had any "Yeah!s" or "Nay!s" for this vehicle, or the manufacturer. We're new to this, and any help will be appreciated. I haven't seen any recalls (a good thing), but maybe I've missed something.
Happy New Year!!

I had an 04 Freedom. It was on a Chevy chassis. It didn't have any major chassis problems, although the coach always had electrical problems. The batteries wouldn't last a day. It also rattled a lot, especially around the door. Just seemed the workmanship was poor. I had to tighten almost every screw. The components all worked fine. A/C, microwave, fridge ( after it was replaced just after buying it ) genertator, heater etc.

I have a 2000 Leprechaun 27 foot with super slide and it is just fine. No rattles, no battery problems, no leaks no chassis problems (Ford). Large holding tanks, large water tank, two coach battery's. Best sewer hookup in the industry. Heated holding tanks, and much more. Just beating my chest like other people do on this forum about their MH's.
Seriously unit has been very good to me and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

We had an 02 for about 18 months before we bought the A. We put 15,000 miles on it pulling, and didn't have any problems with it at all. Only issue I had was that it ran at max gross weight all the time and didn't carry enough for us. Also if you intend to pull with it check the hitch weight limits. Some are 3500 and some 5000 pounds. I understand it's a frame limitation rather than a hitch issue.

We have a 2000 Leprechaun 32 foot, no slides, on a 1999 Ford Chassis with Vitron V-10 engine. We have had it a little more than a year and are very happy with it. I am still learning about the vagaries of the electrical system, (see other posts on this forum in tech issues under my name) but so far it has performed well. We went from a Class A 34 foot 1987 Pace Arrow to this unit and I prefer the Class C due to easier maneuvering etc. Also the fuel mileage is slightly better with the V-10 than the Chevy V8 454 was. But fuel mileage is not so much better that I would say this is a good enough reason for trading from a Class A to a Class C. Simply an observation on my part.

Just purchased the 2007 and love it so far. Haven't taken it out on a trip yet still learning the in's and out's. Supposively, coachman leprechaun has a good reputation
We have an '02 Leprechaun 305MB, no slides. We purchased it used and it has been a good first unit for our family of 5. Have found it comfortable and reliable -- no problems other than regular maintenance. Has plenty of room if you pay attention to what you pack, we upgraded hitch to 5000#, installed laminate floors in main living area. We like the layout of this one. We spend most of our time outdoors so the lack of slide is not a huge issue for us. Good luck and enjoy!
