Anyone have any comments on TASKMASTER tires? They certainly are inexpensive.

I see that only their ST 235/85R-16 at $76.88 is a Radial. The others are all bias ply.
I did a search here in RV Net and found one person who had them come on his Cruiser - he switched them out for Maxxis Radials.

They seem to do good for the local lawn guys. This is the only tire that we see that comes shipped from the Distributor crushed bead to bead in stacks of 3 tied together with a red plastic band. ST205 and ST225 X 15 bias tire are the most used size here. They are cheap and like so many others are a Chinese Brand.

May Trailer Life came today--in the "RV Clinic" section was a story of a blown tire on a near new trailer--Taskmaster ST205/75D14. Most of the mileage was getting the trailer from the midwest to Oregon. Tech Team writer Jeff Johnston said they are cheap--wholesale would be about $25. "Riding on $25 tires--regardless of where they are made--could compromise safety and security." After reading this thread I see they must be bias ply tires.

I use the Goodyear G614 RST and have had no problems with them when it comes to tires I do not skimp I will pay for the best tires available it's better than taking out the side of your fver with a blowout than to save a couple bucks on tires.

The Goodyear G614 is the only tire available that size in "G" weight range. Unless you count the asian imports.
I have a set of chinese tires on my utility trailer, but when it comes time to re-tire the camper, I'll spend the $1,000+ and get the G614's

Well if you need new ones there are a lot of people around that are willing to give them up.
