From what I've been told the hardest thing is cutting the hole in you NEW truck. If you read the directions it's maybe a 2 hour job. Also if done during business hours, B&W has great customer service. Call them!

I have the REESE SIGNATURE SERIES 18K, It's one of the nicest ones made IMO, Also when removed, NO Tracks left in your bed, just 4 receiver holes, Check it out and compare, Coby.

Not sure what part of California you are in but there are several Off-Road and Truck accessory stores around San Diego and if they don't have the particular hitch in stock they will order and they install. Reese is very popular and most places carry them. Installation is difficult reading the instructions, hardest part like said above is cutting that first hole in your new truck.

I just put a 18K Reese Signature Slide in my short bed F250.. What sold me was how popular Reese was across the country in case of parts or service and I like the fact of no bed rails. A Super Glide would have been nice too, but I only pull a couple of weekend a month during the summer. If you Reese Sig. go with the 18k because you get a better a head and the increased is less than $150.00.

Well, ended up having a very tough time finding a place who had the Reese Sig, or the B&W in stock...let alone a place that would install it.

Ended up going to Camping World and purchased the standard Reese 20k hitch. They had it in stock and will install it on Tuesday.

Good thing, because I just purchased the fifth wheel of our dreams today:

Cobyco, Can you load pallets over the 4 pucks left in the bed of the reese? I carry pallets of block and sometimes pallets of sod but it sounds like the pallet will get stuck on the pucks?

I got my B&W turnover ball for $300 and the companion for $635, both with free shipping from Tweetys.com. Total $935. Got it in 3 days to the end of the driveway.

The best price from FAR away from me was $1250 for the turnover ball and companion installed.

Locally, they wanted $1500 for the turnover ball/companion and $350 or more to install.

Did the install myself. Scariest thing was cutting a huge hole in the bed. I measure 6 times. Got the whole saw bit from Home Depot. After the whole was cut, it's a breeze.

You need one large socket 1 1/4" and a torque wrench.

Saved myself more then $500 installed. Works out to more then $100 an hour.

If you slide the pallets they will probably snag on the pucks because they are raised up a little bit, I would suggest you just lay down a couple flat 2x4's then you could slide the pallets on them and it will clear the pucks, Hope that helps, Thanks Coby.
