How about a three dimensional matrix?
X- spark or compression ignition.
Y- naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged
Z- (and here's the fun part) Domestically owned & assembled, domestically owned but foreign assembly, foreign owned & domestically assembled...

the provide a forum called ON SUSPENSION

I like Marty's (blt2ski) idea. I think it would be great for the forum. Now all I need to do is block 2 members (one of which I allowed myself to argue with way too much today)and life will be grand.

What do you think Marty? Can you run it up the flag pole, see if it will fly?

How about one forum where weight can be mentioned and another where, as far as the forum is concerned, there is no gravitational pull upon the earth.

I actually like the different vehicles in the same forum. My main annoyance is when a guy comes in talking about his side mirror and people with Duallies see fit to ridicule the guy for for towing over his weight.

Then Marty will have more work moderating the Class I folks from posting that their
half tonners can tow as much if not more than the Class II folks...

Since Marty has banned brand "X" comparison posting, guess he'll also
have to have a brand by Class distinction too.

Then the fake half tonners staying in the Class I forum, when they are stuck
between Class I and Class II...how are you going to moderate that? Ah...
got it for ya Marty....registration will have what vehicle you own
and that will limit you to a specific forum

Ditto the fake 3/4 tonners...

Then can the folks who own more than one vehicle post in more than one forum,
or must they only post Class I stuff in Class I and not cross reference their
Class II/III/IV/V truck and/or SUV stuff? Ah....got it for ya on this one too.
Register for them all and then one post is replicated in all of them

Hey Marty, they are serious about this ?! !?! !?! !?! !?!

I've been joking thinking they were joking....

Maybe Marty can link some insider search HOW2's. I suggest going
outside of these forums and use a 'better' search engine, like
www.vivisimo.com, which i do and usually get better results
than the built in one here....as the OP started this because he can't
search well enough for his needs....

If they did split it up they should do it like they did in the trailer forum. You can view every thread or just the ones you're interested in.

I think they did a great job in the travel trailer forum.

I think if you divided it all up you would end up with a lot of forums with very little traffic.

Ben, I don't have any problems searching whatsoever. I don't understand your need to attack someone when you dissagree. What I was proposing was order, no different than the distinction between TT and FW or the divisions in the MH section. I believe the divisions would help people who are new to this forum get better answers from people who have experience with a like vehicle. It would also make scanning the forums much quicker because you would only be looking at posts that apply. I wonder what attitude you would have had toward Melvil Dewey.

This is where we dissagree. I think you would have the same amount of traffic the only difference is the traffic would be better routed - big rigs in one lane and little cars in another. But you may be right, I have been known to come up with a bad idea or two.

We have been reading in the different forums that many heavy truck owners are down sizing to the very productive and more economical 1/2 tons.
