If not fulltiming...where do you call home?
I am from New York, and have an RV for a short time, since last August..but have managed to do 7 trips in 7 months. None of the trips were for long periods but we did go to Georgia twice, Maine,Connecticut, Florida. Its amazing the amount of motorhomes, TT's and 5th wheelers we see OUTSIDE the NY area. It seems like RVing is not as popular in the tri-state region as
elsewhere in the US. Part of the problem might be that I am from Long Island and it is a pain to get OFF the Island in the first place.
Anyway I was just wondering how many are from this area? as oppossed to the other areas of US.

Sumar, the wife and I were both born and raised in Northern Utah. Still live in Utah. Not full-timers by any means(still working full-time) but usually get out 2-3 weekends a month and a couple week long trips each year. There are quite a few RV's in our area, you can't drive through a neighborhood without seening some type of RV in peoples driveways. Mike.

Live in Redondo Beach, CA. Grew up on the beach in Venice, CA., spent 10 years out of the state living in Kentucky, Illinois and Connecticut. Glad to get back home to the SoCal beach - but not enjoing the traffic as I get older. We get out about 4 months each year usually for a few weeks at a time, except summer where we go for about a 7 week stint.

We are from Jena, Louisiana. We are not full timers, we also are full time workers. I am looking forward to retiring in 5-8 years. The wife on the other hand will never be able to retire, she will always take care of the children (all grown)so retirement is out for her. I work overseas on a rotational schedule. We are able to travel as we like on my days off, but tend to stay close to home and take one long trip a year.

I'm a Pittsburgh, PA native and the DW is from Essen, Germany. We've lived in Coral Springs, FL; Evergreen, CO; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; and now Arlington, TX. We also have a home in Live Oak, FL but love the interludes in the bus!

I'm originally from Erie, PA. Uncle Sam drafted me and started sending me all around the states and the world. My wife is Korean and we now live in San Antonio (last 20 years). My retirement comes up again in 2012, may go fulltime then.

Moved out of the "Promised Land", Southern California, and back home to southeast Kansas. I have NEVER looked back!! We sit for about 3 months in the winter and rest up to "hit the trail" in the spring to all parts of the country and bypass "good old S.Ca."
