You mean like the mother's running up and down the soccer field screaming at their kids to get the ball or what to do with it.
You mean the Dad's yelling at the coaches to put their kids in the game.
Or a parent beating on a referee for a bad call ?
The list is endless.
(and a bit facetious)

Instead of getting into a guessing game, why not do a little bit of research. All the attendance stats have been published, for many years.Because I don't want to, I want to see what the average man or woman on the street say, thinks...what did Mark Twain say...there are lies. d----d lies and then statistics!
I was born with a love for machines, it's in my genes. My Dad took me to a dirt track oval to watch Midget Racing when I was 8 years old, and I've had a love affair with auto racing ever since. I also participated in ball sports while in grade school, and I liked it just fine, except I was not as big physically as most of the other players. In high school, I lettered in tennis twice, but I also took flying lessons when I was a Junior in high school. I raced motorcycles when I was 19, and crop dusted in a 450 Stearman (for my Uncle). I raced Sprint Cars on dirt for many years, and ended up owning/operating a racetrack (El Paso Speedway Park). We've attended hundreds of auto racing events, including a number of NASCAR races (in the motorhome). And now, I watch NASCAR on TV. GO TONY!

Actually ALL OF THE ABOVE are wrong.....

A survey taken several years back showed that the most popular sport in America was.... FISHING ...

That's right... Fishing is the number one sport in America.... More Americans participate in some form of fishing than any other sport known to man...

TWO CENTS WORTH
The story goes that a man died and was approached by the Devil who told him that he could buy his soul back for a dollar. The man searched his pockets and could only come up with 98 cent. While begging the Devil to forget the two cent he was short, an Angel happened by and hearing the Devil laughing, asked the man, "Would you mind if I put in my two cents ?" The Devil got so mad that he exploded in a puff of smoke and the man's soul was saved.
The moral: Sometimes putting in your two cents worth makes a difference.

...except for the BIG chase, the one involving millions of men almost every night of the week, certainly all weekend. More money spent by far, plenty of alcohol, and always a good sized crowd. This sport is played around the world, by a wide age range, and most will go to almost any extreme to score.......

...that's right, chasing girls.............

NASCAR has always been labeled a "Redneck" sport because of where it orginated, the deep South. Did you know, today's average Nascar fan has a higher education than the average education of fans in professional football, basketball or baseball. I was a go-kart champion in my hometown when I was 15. I like speed. I also love to watch Tiger Woods play golf. He is the greatest athelete who ever lived in "any " sport.

taxgun....Not all parents are like what you described....some of us used to get up at 5 am to get everything ready to go to away games and then we were up late then to get ready for the next. Or we traveled all over to watch our kids play ball in other cities and states. I'm sorry the few you refer to are always around but they are in the minority!!!! If more parents took an INTEREST in what their kids were doing maybe they would turn out to be better adults. rick

Although I do some fishing, can it really be called a sport? I guess I'd have to go look up the definition of sport. One of Jeff Foxworthy's redneck lines is, "you know you're a redneck if you've ever been too drunk to fish."
