We ordered ours 1-14-08. Rockwood 8296ss. We just picked it up yesterday and can't wait to stock it. Took all of 4 1/2 weeks for delivery. Enjoy as they are a beauty.
Phew! Makes me realize how lucky we were that our dealer just happend to have our new 08 in stock. He drove all the way to the plant to tow it back for an RV show. Got a few extra whistles and bells than we needed, but they're nice to have and we got a heck of a deal!

We just ordered our 8315BSS on March 17th, 2008. They told us it would be about ten weeks?? We ordered it through RV Wholesalers and saved about 5k from what our local dealers best price was. It's going to be a long 10 weeks.

We did our basic walkthrough today and could not find anything wrong at all. The dealer has done a once through before we gogt there, but they have their own PDI where they will test internal pressure, looking for leaks. We are scheduled to go back next Saturday for a thorough demo and to take delivery. I'm very excited. Thanks to Norm V and Ron at Cold Springs RV in Weare, NH! I'm pretty excited about actually using it now. We upgraded from a popup, so this is huge for us. We already have a week booked at Normandy Farms in July and need to start booking some other trips. We like Pine Acres Resort near worcester MA and Cold Springs Camptground in Weare, NH. Need to look around at some other places too.
We called RvWholesalers 3 weeks ago. They had an 8317SS on order with almost all the options we wanted (and what it didn't have, they're installing, i.e., slide topper and electric jack). It came in last week, and my hubby is driving to Ohio to pick up this weekend.
Saved $7000. off the dealer in NH. Would of liked to go local, but $7000. is $7000. He got a GREAT deal. My "concern" was the door going into the back bunk room. The new models have a pocket door instead of the accordion type door. I wanted to make sure it had the solid door and it does, yippee. (I could see the kids going right through the accordion one).
We ordered our 08 Wildcat 27RL TT at a show back in Oct 07 and were told we would see it in late Jan 08' or early Feb 08' by the rep. We have been in constant contact with the rep. We were told 3 times that our rig had shipped and when it did finally show up on March 15th it was the wrong unit and now we have to wait another month. I have sent letters,e-mails,faxes and phone calls and one unpleasant one with the GM of the Oregon plant who flat out didn't care. This is our first RV and allot of the fun has been taken out of our new toy. We got a great deal, but at what cost. The dealer(who only carries the fifth wheel wildcats) has been sympathetic, but Forest River has shaken my confidence.
We really like the rig, but we have looked around till ours comes in, just in case.

We lucked out. Bought our 8317SS from a dealer that had two in stock loaded just the way we wanted it. We saw the model at the RV show in AC and just loved the layout and space. They had sold the one at the show but had a second one on their lot. We were not planing on buying a new TT....but we all know how that goes... Plus was able to get within 700.00 of RV Wholealers price by bouncing between the flagstaff dealer and the rockwood dealer. They also gave me a good trade allowance. IMO it is better to deal with a local dealer. The guys who set up the unit and sales staff where very friendly and helpful. We picked it up this past Saturday. There were some minor issues found during the walk through but it is nice to know they are working on them and I can take it back at anytime to have it serviced. I got it at Driftwood in Clermont NJ, down by Wildwood and Cape May. Pic of the TT is in my profile.

I'm picking up our 8317 tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!! I am quite excited about this.
And as luck would have it, prior to my leaving the house in the morning, the kind gentleman who bought my popup is coming to pick it up. So, that frees up some space in the driveway and keeps the DW happy.
My husband brought it home a week ago today and we've been out there every night doing mods and cleaning it. It was a long haul home for him and my son, but the Expedition EL did great towing it.
RVW was good, and the money we saved was better. One thing - he called from RVW and said it didn't come with a bunk ladder. I thought this rather odd, but oh well. After he got it home, as I was vacuuming it, under one of the bunks was the ladder. Nice surprise.
Also, he took it to get weighed the next day, and it's 6700#'s empty. Much more than posted. I can't remember right now, but I think the sticker on the cabinet says 6300#.
