How about all the stiff reply cards in the magazines? When I get a new magazine the first thing I do is remove them plus any pages that are thicker. Wonder what percent of the reply cards are used?? Maybe <1%, what a waste of paper.

I couldn't even stop getting it for two years AFTER I dropped out I got so many phony cards for different programs that I'd never requested that when my REAL membership cards finally arrived I was programed to just toss em. I threw them away by mistake. Since I could never use it I just never renewed again.

After many phone calls, emails and written notices asking them to stop the junk I finally resorted to saving up some of the mailings and stuffing as many as possible in one of the prepaid envelopes and sending it back to them overweight. That way they had to pay the postage due. after a couple of months I guess they got the message because 99 percent of the junk stopped. That was 3 or 4 years ago and it is still working.

LOL........ When I first joined Good Sam, they misspelled my last name. I didn't care and didn't do anything to correct it.
Then all sorts of junk mail started arriving with my 'Good Sam name' on it.
I had always wondered where all those tree killers got peoples names and addresses. That was when I realized that all the junk mail in the world comes from Good Sam selling your personal info.
Somebody over there needs a asswhoop'n.

I've called GS twice, the second call stopped most, but not all, of it. I always wonder how much less my dues would be if they didn't keep wasting my money sending me expensive mailings to get me to sign up for services I'm already buying.

It took me two years of trying just about everything imaginable from calling them several times and pleading for them to shut off the mailing and went on line and did that procedure two different times and it has now finally faded significantly.
Now we are having even a more abundant volume of junk mail being received from AARP. Absolutely every possible kind of insurance offer from health, life, dental, pharmacy, accident, and the worst part is this seems to be about a weekly cycle again and again and again. I have never indicated to them in any manner that I was even the slightest bit interested in any of their offers. You would think that they would have gotten the hint by now. Even at their dirt cheap mailing rates I am sure that they have spent $300. at the post office just on my mailing, during the past year. I have called them several times and ask as nicely as possible to be removed from their mailing list. No success as yet.

Hi, If you want to stop ALL of your junk mail go to www.greendimes.com You can join for a very small fee ($15.00 I think)and they will stop your junk mail. We were getting all kinds of credit card offers and other junk mail to the point I was spending about four hours a month shredding stuff. Now we get almost no junk mail. What a relief. They really do get you off of the lists. Check it out.

I did it by phone. I did have to call them a second time but all I've gotten in the last 6 months is the Highways magazine, which is what I asked them to continue sending me.
