We are planning to start our 6 month camping trip in the Kelowna region and would like to cycle some of the Kettle Valley Railway. Thing is, there is so much information on the KVR that I am finding it hard to choose a particular section /area to focus on. Has anyone cycled the KVR and if so, do you know of any good campsites near to the KVR.
There are four (4) campsites between Beaverdell and Rock Creek One of those being the Kettle River Provincial campground. Then there is the Kettle River campground just east of Rock Creek, it is just across the Kettle River from the rail bed. There are a few more heading east of there, so if you plan on heading that far east let me know and I can give you more Info. All four of these campgrounds between Beaverdell and Rock Creek are right beside or very close to the abandon rail bed. I don’t have any info on the campgrounds around the Penticton area that is near the Rail Bed, Just google for campgrounds near the KVR.
