Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of 5vr's. After years of bouncing between tents, pop-ups, truck campers, TT's and even a boat. We finally graduated to our first 5vr. It's still in the family as our daughter and SIL bought it when we got our current one which we now live in. For me the 5vr is so much easier to handle and provides us with the room we desire. Our largest TT was a 24 footer and our 5vr is 38 actual feet long but pulls and backs much easier than the TT did. Just take it easy and with a little practice you'll be driving like a pro. Looks like you chose a very nice unit with the room and comfort you will need to experience your dream. Enjoy that new rig and happy and safe travels to you.

Hello and welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new Cedar Creek, they are very nice fifth wheels. Don't worry about towing and backing all it will take is practice. I was a nervous wreck the first couple of times that I towed our fifth wheel but I soon got the hang of it as you will. Show us some pictures of that rig when you get the chance.

Congrats!!! We recently upgraded to a fiver and go on our first trip tomorrow. It is pricey trying to fill that sucker up, tons of space. Enjoy your travels and whatever you do... have fun!

Congratulations!! Great RV.

When we went to pick up our fiver, we took our video camera and taped all the instructions the tech gave us. My DH asked all the questions and I taped everything. It was our first RV and we knew nothing. Thank goodness we did because I was so excited, I forgot everything they explained.

Happy Travels

We're new to RVing also - only since August. We too recently upgraded from a 26 ft TT to a 34 ft 5ver. My husband usually drives, but he wanted me to learn as well, which I did. I towed the 5ver home!
Congratulations and Welcome! Hope you'll love RVing as much as we do!

I too tow our fiver down the road, but I leave the backing up to my DH. I'd like to learn to do that too some day.

Love to camp!

Congratultions and Welcome! Experience towing will come fairly easy, just remember to give yourself plenty of swing room when making turns. I would suggest taking your rig to a big empty parking lot and practice backing and parking. Also get a set of 2 way radios for you and your spotter to communicate with. Before I backinto a site I get out and survey the scene and tell my DW where I want to put the unit and we manage to get it there as a team. Enjoy!
