If you have a general Motors chassis take you VIN and proof of ownership to your local GM dealer. There is over a 90% chance that they will be able to retrieve the key code via computer and cut new keys. I just lost the keys to my 1992 Chevy pick up after plowing snow last week. My local dealer cut new keys for me.

You mean you only had one set ??? First thing I do is make sure I have a spare set of keys for any of our locks. Now with that said, I put a spare on the license plate attachment bolt, behind the plate, never have to worry about being locked out.

YES YES YES,,The dealer or the manufacturer would or should have the key codes if you furnish the Vin and or the Coach Serial #. Make a few phone calls and see
what you find out. Good Luck

Happy Trails.

Look at your original bill of sale. Some dealers do the correct thing and put the key numbers on this document.

Dealers also have masters that will unlock the door if you need entry before you get the replacement keys.

Picture this… KOA Kampground on The Strip in Las Vegas. I leave the coach to go to the RV park office to pay for another day. I stop halfway there, realizing that I don’t have my wallet. When I get back to the coach, I realize that I don’t have my keys either.

My elderly mother is napping in the passenger seat. Even if I woke her, she wouldn’t be able to open the door for me (she has Alzheimer’s Disease). As long as she is asleep, she would be okay.

The air conditioning is on and all of the windows are closed and locked. My compartment doors are locked so I can’t even get my ladder out to see if I can force open a window.

I remember that my RV salesman told me that I should always use the deadbolt because “every RV guy” has a key to my regular door lock. Fortunately, I don’t heed his advice and only the regular door lock is locked.

A KOA guy comes by in a yellow golf cart and drives me around the RV park looking for other RVs by the same manufacturer. I borrow their keys but none of them work.

I call the closest RV service shop but they can’t help me except to give me the number of the nearest Fleetwood RV dealer.

The guy that answers the phone in the Fleetwood dealer’s parts department tells me that if I give him the key code off of the key, he will make me a duplicate. Apparently, I am not explaining my situation clearly.

I ask to speak with the service manager. He understands and tells me that he will dispatch his “parts runner” with master keys.

While I am waiting, I begin to calculate which window I will break open if it comes to that point. I guess that the shower skylight might be the easiest to replace. Since I have time, I began looking around the coach looking for a place to hide a key for the next time this happens.

The parts runner from the Fleetwood dealer arrives with a big ring of keys and promptly opens the door. Mom sleeps through the whole thing. The Fleetwood dealer refuses any payment. Many thanks to Findlay RV in Las Vegas.

I now have spare keys in a combination lock box in the compartment with the propane valve (it doesn’t lock). Now, does anybody remember my combination?
