A while back there were a lot of postings on a cheaper tire pressure monitoring system from China. Several forum members said they had bought or were buying them, has anyone got a report on how well they are working out as opposed to the PressurePro etc.?

From China huh ? Probably good for monitoring pressure in those good Chinese tires ! IMO, you get what you pay for.

But to answer your question, no I've not seen them.

Why start a new post? Why not ask this question on the active one?

FMCA Magizine February issue has an article on TPMS and listed information on four systems. There also is an active thread on these systems.

There are several ways to measure TP and display the results and I think the diversity of products just reflects that. The quality of a lot of Chinese products do not measure up to US products so that is something each purchaser needs to consider. I have Pressure Pro and was pleasantly surprised when I tested the accuracy of the 10 sensors against two digital gauges. No one has posted the results of simular tests on other systems. My PP displays TP and has two levels of low pressure alarms and a visual display of which tire position is being monitored or alarmed. My car has a factory TPMS system that also shows TP and has low pressure alarm.

I have a made in china system. The problem I have found is that it doesn't have the range needed to monitor the trailer tires from the truck. It only has a 30' range. Other wise it seems to work fine.

Hi All.

Nope, no experience with the Ceap Chinese Made Tire Monito Systems. But I do have a Duran Tire Monitor System, Made in the USA. Works as advertized, and has never given us no problems what so ever. We would buy the Duran Tire Monitor System again in a heart beat. We really like ours. Good Luck. Happy Camping. Dan & Jill
