There are so many other things that we enjoy,...variety is the spice of life, and that's the main reason we quit fulltiming,....and to live in a bigger house is the other reason. HOWEVER, we kinda have the best of both worlds. We live close enough to several lakes (with campgrounds) that sometimes we'll leave the motorhome and boat at the lake,....it's a short commute. Also, having fullhookups (with sewer dump) in our own backyard SURE makes it handy to RV.

Monthly with the camping club, if nothing is taking us out of town or keeping us there that particular week. At least once a year, with each of our two children, somewhere near enough their homes so they can make it a weekend trip. So far one to three longer trips, two weeks to a month, touring and/or visiting family.
Maybe with, maybe without the RV (depending on timing) two or three additional trips to each daughter's house.
We also travel overseas a once or twice a year, leaving the RV at home.

We go at least once a month. We hit all the 3 day WE's that our kids have, and about 2 one week trips per year. But it AIN'T ENOUGH.

We average about 2 times (5 day trips) a month during the school year. Maybe up to 4 (3-5 day) trips a month during the summer. Can't wait to go our again in a couple of weeks!

From May 1st, as soon as we are able to get the RV out (due to snow) until the end of September, we go EVERY weekend. Literally.

We own our own RV lot about 15 miles from our home in Alabama so we do it every weekend, just load the car and head out cause it's set up and waiting for us.

Depending on the last freeze, from somewhere toward the end of April to Oct. we try to go every other weekend, and throw in a couple of week long trips. I probably will never get to retire, so just getting what I can. (camping that is)
