Cool pics Lee....
on the other hand I have been blessed with the experience of shooting off MANY fireworks when I lived in the south. Karla and I spent a Newyears back in AR in the early 90s and she was amazed at all the store bought fireworks we had.
I miss the "Roman Candle" and " Bottle Rocket" fights we used to have.

No fog this morning and it got pretty warm here after the fog burned off yesterday so I am sure it's going to be warm today. It's just beautiful outside right now.
There sure were a lot of people shooting off fireworks in our neighborhood last night. I think the police were too busy patrolling the beaches last night to even notice.
Ray and I are going to take a ride to a big piece of property his company owns over by Mt. Madonna. We are taking a picnic lunch and our puppies. We'll do a little hiking and some exploring.
Lee, nice pics!
Have a good day all!

I'll post pictures of the puppy and our trip but I'll need help because I have not done it before. Maybe someone could PM me with details.
We had a scare last night. I had worked our Vol. FD fireworks booth off and on during the week. Last night when we closed we lit off a few fireworks and then I took Linda home and went back to help clean up. She saw that her horse was stirred up from all the fireworks going off in the area and thought she would let him out to pasture behind our house. When he ran past her into the pasture she shut the gate behind him and latched it. She no sooner turned around when he blew thru the gate and trampled her under it. It was pitch dark out so I'm sure he couldn't see it being black chain link and he was frantic from the noise. She was able to crawl out of his path and get herself up and out of there. She called me and I came home right away. She has a lump on her head and some cuts and bruises but will be OK albeit extremely lucky to not have been seriously hurt or killed. He is OK and isn't injured from knocking down the gate.
We may postpone the grandkids visit till Sunday to give her a day to rest and recover. We both realize in hindsight that was a poor choice for her to make in those conditions, it would have been best to stay away from him.
What's the old saying, 'If it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all'.
Come on vacation!

Well I'm going to give my first picture posting a try. This is Charade but I think we're going to rename her Jade. She's 3 months old.

Good job Jim! See it's not so hard to post a pic! Can't wait to meet your new addition to the family.
Today is my last day of a very long vacation! Tomorrow I start my new job. I certainly have mixed emotions. I'm excited about the job and a chance to learn something new.
Ray and I didn't take our ride out to the woods and have a picnic as we had planned. We have hung out here at the house for the last couple of days. Leaving only to go out to lunch. We did go to a couple of nurseries and picked up a few plants and planted them. It's been a very relaxing weekend and today looks to be about the same.
Safe travels to those of you on the road today.
Have a great day all!

Jim, she's a good looking pup!
We went to the Morgan Hill fireworks but they didn't happen! We weren't in the park but there were a couple test shots but no show. About 10:15 people started streaming out from the park so I guess there was some sort of announcement. We sat around in a parking lot for about 5 hours only to be disappointed! It turned out our neighbors chose the same spot so we all hung out together and had fun anyway. Maybe next year...

We are back from Shaver. They had their firework show last night. They launch them from a small island on the lake and it is really pretty.
Glad everyone had a good weekend!
Good luck tomorrow Judy on your new job!

Hi folks!
Well we are back from our trip and had a busy weekend getting back to being sorted out at home.
I have uploaded our vacation pics for anyone that wants to take a peak. Be warned...there are lots of our rig and our pups.
We had an absolute blast dry camping in the wilderness of Utah with Sherry's brother. We don't get to see him and his family very much so this was a wonderful way to catch up.
Here is the link.
Enjoy!
