HOT, HOT, HOT. Not a good thing. But camping is good as long as the AC and icemaker keeps working!

Good Morning ya'll........ Today we go to "The Strawberry Festival". First we are going to a Pancake Breakfast at the local Middle School and then on to the Festival. We may go to the Free Concert tonight. Ronnie McDowell & The Jordanaires are going to perform. The Jordanaires were Elvis Presley's backup band and for the life of me I can't remember what songs Ronnie McDowell did. He is from Portland and may be one of those one hit wonders.
Ya'll have a great weekend and stay "COOL" I was reading the weather there and it is suppose to cool down Tuesday. While it heats up here to the low 80's.. See Terry I can be nice if I wanna....... LoL

Good Saturday morning! Well, it sure was HOT yesterday. Me and the puppies stayed inside most of the day with the drapes closed and the fan going all day. It got up to the mid 90's here yesterday and is suppose to be about 10 degrees cooler today.
Ray says that all the beaches from Davenport to Santa Cruz were full yesterday as I am sure they will be all weekend.
Lee, thanks for the mile long yard sale pics, there were some real treasures along the way, glad you found a few! That guy along the road selling fishing poles reminded me of Bill. Love the stop sign way up high!
Never heard of Ronnie McDowell but I found his web site Ronnie McDowell There is a link on this web site to listen to some of his music. He sounds like Elvis. Enjoy the show!
Have a good day all, Sherry I'm jealous that you guys are camping!

Lee, looks like you had some great weather as the day went on. That sale looks like fun. I've heard of it in a car magazine, I think.
Everything is so GREEN!
Only in the 90's today. Still warm but much easier to deal with.

Good Sunday morning!
I guess everyone must be busy this weekend, as not very many of us are posting.
Butch, we need a Karla update, when does she get home?
Lee, how was the Strawberry Festivale and the concert?
It was another nice day here in SC, warm, but not too hot. The natural air conditioner (FOG) has rolled in this morning, so it'll be much cooler today. Is it cooler for you folks in the big valley Terry?
Ray & I took a little drive yesterday, went to a couple of nurseries and we each picked up two new plants.
Today I think we will just hang out at the house.
Have a good day all!

Judy- I think you are right. But, I have to say what another gorgeous weekend it was.
DH went to the property for an overnight yesterday, DD went to Concord for a Jazz Festival playoff and then to Marine World. She left at 8am and got home at 9pm last night. She had a MAJOR blast and the school scored on the Awards and won the most. They got the Jazz Award. I am very proud of her and the band. SWEET! I had the day to myself at home. I got so much done and was extremely pooped by 8pm and could barely keep my eyes open to pick her up. Today, I had an all day Palooza Training at work. They have this once a year to get the majority of the people caught up on their yearly trainings in CPR/AED, First Aid, etc. They provided lunch and raffle prizes. I won both times. I got a BBQ for 4 (which I have to find out about this) and a $15 gift card for ColdStones. Now, I am helping DD with her Civil War Project that is presented on Thursday.
Have a great week everyone and enjoy the weather. It suppose to be more pleasant for the week.

We are at Woodward Lake on our way home from Yosemite Lakes. We went into Yosemite Valley and also Hetch Hetchy Dam. We stopped here for a swim in the lake and to enjoy the 95 degree weather. Today would have been my Mother's Birthday and she would have been 100. We are camped right next to the Lake.
Will head home tomorrow.

Good Morning All...... Well the Strawberry was a blast. Mostly people watching the vendors were quite different they had "DEEP FRIED OREOS" but I didn't have enough guts to try them. Maybe next year. We sat down to watch the parade about an hour and half before the start and that was fun again people watching. The only problem was the girls got fried from the sun. It was only in the 70's but I guess just sitting there didn't help. So anyway we didn't make it to the Ronnie McDowell concert. We started out our day at 7:30 at the pancake breakfast and bt the time the concert came around we were all pretty beat. The batteries in my camera died while at the parade but I did get a few pictures and will post them later....
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Computer Problems all weekend (AGAIN) Plus my cell phone died Saturday Morning..... But the phone is working again...
