One more question....we have finally narrowed down our search to cape cod...started in Maine, then Hampton beach, and finally decided on the cape. We have found three campgrounds we are interested in. We would appreciate your feedback!!! They are: Cape cod camp resort in Falmouth, Bayview campground in Bourne, and Sweetwater forest in Brewster. We like secluded sites, clean restrooms, and fun activities for the kids. A pool is a definate draw, however, we would settle for a lake, considering how close the ocean is (There are no oceans in quebec!!! )
Thanx...Steph

BayView is pretty good. They have 3 pools I think and they are nice. They also have a great playground, volleyball, etc. Also a great baseball field. There is a nice camp store that sells ice cream and a snack bar. The rest rooms are clean, but I think that the showers don't have individual locking doors. No big deal to me, but my wife was nervous about it. They have great activities for the kids, like candy bar bingo etc. Some good friends of ours do a mini seasonal site there in the Fall. They love it.

Might I offer a slight alternative....Jellystone @ Maple Park in Wareham is a very nice campground. They are not on "the cape" but are within a 10 minute drive of the Bourne bridge to the Cape. I've been staying there for the past 6 years at least 3 weeks a summer and we just love it. Loads of activities for the kids, an awesome beach / swimming pond right in the park. And within driving distance of lots and lots of fun family activies.
They were an independent cg until about 5 years ago when the owners bought into the Jellystone franchise. The park has undergone many changes / improvements since then, they are working on an indoor pool and water park right now. Owners are great people, very friendly atmosphere. Give them a look at Jellystone Maple Park
I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself wherever you end up, it's a great area for camping.
We stayed at Bayview last year for a week. Very nice place. We were in a pull thru site which was roomy. The only bad thing was getting onto Rte 28 when you exit the park. The traffic flies down that road, and you had to time it just right, especially when your leaving the campground with the trailer in tow.
