Junnie and I were camping at Veterans State Park this past weekend. We met the camp host in loop 3. It is their first time hosting and since they are from Byron we invited them to join us Saturday night. Hopefully we can get them to join us a some the rallies in the future. Their names are Bruce and Glenda

When we have the rally in a couple of weeks, it will be the 4th time in a row that Junnie and I have camped at Veterans State Park. Rob has had me scouting for the best place to have the dinner. Unfortunately the all the shelters in the park ,except for one that cost $200 to rent, are relatively small. What we need to do is have the dinner in the middle of loop three. Most people who arrive on Friday will probably be there anyway since loops 1 and 2 usually fill up first. For this to work, we will need for those that have one to bring a folding table, so if anyone has one please let us know and bring one. As a backup in case of bad weather there is a 4 picnic table shelter in loop one that is on a first come use basis. Someone will need to grab it early Saturday morning in case we need it. It will probably work well for breakfast since not everyone shows up for breakfast and it does have two electrical outlets.
So the plan is to have dinner somewhere in the middle of loop 3 and breakfast at the shelter in loop 1 and the shelter in loop 1 as a backup for Saturday evening in case of bad weather. I did run most of this by Rob and he told me to make this post to let everyone know. Please bring a table if you have one and a lot of Italian/Mex food because I am hungry and my friend Richard (Whittyro) can eat a lot.
For first timers when you see the park, you may think I am crazy talking about loops 1 and 3. There is a 2, but loops 1 and 2 make one big loop with a good many sites on the lake. Loop 3 is on the left side of the road when you come into the campground away from the lake that is why it fills up last. I am getting excited about the rally. We have not been camping since yesterday and it has been way to long. See you there - with tables and also bring your chairs.
Lastly, I hope that Nascarcruzin will have a great time on their Alaska trip and hope to see them at the next rally.

I have 3 folding tables that I will bring for use however needed. I sure hope we have good weather and don't have to travel to loop 1 as parking is very limited and it is (I understand) a little far to walk toting dinner. See you all there and I'm sure that regardless, a good time will be had by all. Thanks to Jim and Junnie for there scouting reports.

Where is everyone at. It has been three days since a new post. We need to drum up some excitement for the rally. The only rally with a sticky that has less posts than ours is the North Dakota rally (Nothing against N.D., but Georgia has a lot more folks living in it) and it is there first rally.
Wondering the same thing.
What's the count for this event?. Our neighbors the Walnicks are coming.
I'm still looking to play golf and Jan is bringing her kayak.
We will be in Thursday afternoon.

Nascarcruzin's Alaska Journal For those that would like to follow Ronnie and Becky's Alaska trip I have provided a link to their journal website. Hope they have a great trip.
For the rally dinner, Richard, Tootie, Junnie and I have decided to make some tacos and for breakfast on Saturday morning, we are making French Toast.
Hi every one, unfortunately we will not be able to attend the Rally. Our cousin is graduating from the University of Georgia on Saturday and we will be attending her graduation. Also, my mother is visiting me from Venezuela, and we are going to have a family get-together on Sunday for Mother's Day. We will miss being at the Rally, but we will be sure to be at the next Rally. We hope y'all have a great time and see you soon.
Happy Camping,
