I just recent replaced my single 12V Interstate house battery with two 6V golf batteries. I would like to add the 12V to the existing one for the chassis. It's going into a Jayco Greyhawk Class C on the Kodiak chassis, so there is already a spot for the 2nd one.
My question is, what kind of wiring is involved? If anyone has done the same, I would appreciate a link.

When batteries are wired together they really should be of the same type, size, and age. You can wire together for a short term advantage, but over the long term (unless the above conditions are met), it can lead to premature failure of one or both batteries. Tim
To further expand on what tim said, the older battery will drain off the newer one, as the two that are connected tend to equalize. However, if you are using them for the chassis, then they are only used to start the vehicle and run things like the radio, is that correct? Which brings up another question, is a deep cycle the correct type of battery to use in the chassis?

That's a great point. The existing chassis battery looks like the same one that I removed from under the house. I'll have to make sure before I do add the second one. If they are, they would have been pretty close in production date since they are the original ones when we purchase the MH last year.
