I just made some leveling boards/ramps today. Chose to use 2x10's that were about eight inches longer than the tire span. Then made another set that are about four inches shorter than the first that way they act like ramps to help when driving up on. Also made a set out of 1x10's that are a little shorter than the second set. This should give a pretty good variety in leveling. I also made jack stand platforms for under the front jacks and rear stabilizers.

I added flexible side handles and end handles on the leveling boards to allow for ease of use when carrying them and pulling them out of storage. As well all of the leveling boards are interchangeable and can lock together so they don't pop up and move around when driving up on them.

Haven't had a chance to use them yet, but they look good and hopefully they work well.

I made mine from Trex, a composit product used for decks. It is heavier than wood but doesn't warp, crack or absorb water.

When I had my TT I used 2 2 X 6s long enough to have both wheels on them. If you have boards too wide they will probably split when parked on uneven ground. Measure your tire contact width and make the boards about one inch wider. Plain old pine is good unless you plan to leave the TT on them in the off season. Long boards are good, you can put only one wheel on the board for half the lift, assuming tandem axles (what Dodge Guy's photo shows) don't try it with dualies.

I have almost the whole right side of my front pass through storage compartment dedicated to leveling blocks. I use PT deck boards for side-side leveling and I have a big assortment of PT 8" 2X4`s and 4X4`s for the stabilizer jacks and tongue jack! they can also be used for side-side leveling if the site is that bad! much better than having the Leveler blocks, which would be expensive if I bought enough to cover for the wood I use now!

I won't tell you what to carry, since I'd need to look at your tires to be sure

But I can tell you I recently downloaded a manual from Mitchelin

Michelin

I very strongly suggest you download the "Tire Guide" off this site

It is, of course, specific to Michelin tires when it comes to tire charts (which are included) but the "how to" which includes how to use leveling boards is generic, works for all tires, all brands.

I too recommend the Lynx Leveling blocks - storage bag, 1" per block, easy to clean, don't decompose or get funky, and not slippery. Available at Walmart - under $50. last time I checked.

I vote for 2 x 10's but also 1 x 10's when 2" is too much correction.
The boards should support the entire width of both tires (assuming tandem axle) and the 10" width makes it easier to pull forward or back onto them.

A 2 x 10 is 1 1/2" thick. A 1 X 10 is 3/4" thick. My parking place at home is quite a slope and 2 2 x 10s give me exactly the 3" I need.

This is the one I made a couple of years ago. It works great, has three different levels. I painted it and glued coarse silica sand to it.
