For the last 5 years we have spent our summers north of Seattle (LaConner) to escape the southern summer heat. Any suggestions for other "cool" areas to spend the summer?

England, Australia, New Zealand come to mind for me...

Many days this summer it was extremely hot here - Ontario. In fact we went to New Orleans in August - yes, it was hot, but it was hotter at home!!!

White Mountains of Arizona. Pinetop, Show Low, that area. 6000 feet+ and very comfortable.

Explore Colorado high country - Grand County, Summit County, Eagle County, Garfield County, Lake County, Gunnison etc. Easy to spend a whole summer in CO and never see the same part twice.

Well, head a bit further west from your location into the Rocky Mountains. You'll find cool temps and comparatively low humidity.
