Yep, leave 'er hooked up. Put down a couple of jacks to make it more stable. No problems.

I leave mine hitched and I don't put down any jacks.
No different than hooking up the night before I leave for a trip.
Trailer may wiggle some just like at truck or rest stops.

For a one nighter where I don't plan to unhitch I'll usually just drop the rear stabs so they just barely touch the ground, and then lower the tongue jack to the ground and lift ever so gingerly - this not only stabilizes the front, but shifts some weight onto the rear stabs and makes things rock solid.
Be carefully you don't lift the front too much if you use my method as you can easily damage some of the lighter stab jacks if you crank the tongue jack enough that you shift massive amounts of weight to the back end.

Add me to the list of staying hitched overnight. If it's two or more nights I usually travel off somewhere so I do unhitch and level it up proper.

Make sure that your battery doesn't get drained. I usually unhook my electrical unbilical cord. Learned my lesson on a ferry from Newfoundland. Killed my battery so bad, had to buy a new one in Nova Scotia,

When I do this I don't mind leaving trailer weight on the truck, but I try not to put truck weight on the trailer jack. So if I have to raise the front more than just taking the weight off of the truck I will unhitch quick. I don't even pull forward, just un-do the coupler and raise up the trailer. In the morning it is a quick drop on the ball. I don't want to overload the jack...

DW and I are going to a state park later this month. We will be in one spot the first night and a different spot the rest of the stay. If we are close to level in the first spot, we will not unhitch. We have stayed at a couple of rest stops and did not unhitch. We do disconnect the power cord to make sure the truck battery does not get drained.

I also stayed "hitched" and hopefully am in a site that I can raise the tongue a little to get level; I am afraid my Expedition will develop a permanent squat
I don't unhook the electrical umbilical. I thought there was some switch or something built-in that would not allow TV battery drain....

skipnchar wrote: No more pressure sitting still than when traveling. AS long as you've level no problem but watch the weather. I stayed hitch one night with stab jacks down, water and electric connected and a tornado warning in the middle of the night left me WALKING (well running) a mile to get to the shelter because I couldn't move the truck. Good luck / Skip
Just pull the safety pin on the receiver and drive away, everything else will stay with the trailer. Just don't forget the safety chains.

I stay hitched when possible. the only draw back is if you need to get out real quickly for some unfortunate reason, you will have to unhitch or unhook from the utilities.
