We've been towing our Roo 233 for 2 years with our E-150, 5.4L. It works fairly well, but if I were buying the van today I'd go with the E-350 and the 5.4L to get the beefier suspension.

We had a custom van when we first got our HTT. They do not have the power of my Quad Cab ram. Going up hills was an experience, I was always watching the temp gauge. I loved my van but love the power of my truck.

If your going to tow with a custom van, order it yourself. 454 motor and don't forget the 410 rear & tranny cooler.

Just my experience.

Well I Have been towing my Pop up with my Ford E250 Conversion Van (see signature) and was concerned about how it would tow a hybrid. Well This weekend I test towed Shamrock 21SS and my concerns have gone away. Tomorrow I will be picking up the Shamrock 21SS and towing it home without weight distibution or sway control. Th currrent owner never used either and was towing it with a F150 with the 5.4 liter and 3:73 rear which is what I have in my van although my van has the 3/4 ton chassis instead of the 1/2 ton. Rest Assured on Saturday I am going to have the Equalizer installed and that along with my Prodigy P3 Brake controller I believe I will have a very stable tow. It will not win any races but it will keep up with traffic no problem. The Best thing about towing with the van is it s comfortable for all 7 riders with plenty of leg room and head room. Even has room for the (Rat) dog, and with the 23" Color TV DVD Player Playstation and stereo in the back you do not keep hearing the kids asking if we are there yet!!!

Ford E350 Van with a Power Stoke Diesel might be our next van in a few more years unless GM finally puts a 6.6L Dmax in the Express Van for 2010. Sorry dear, that G8 GT will have to wait!

Mike.
