Anyone bought the Saf-Tee tire monitoring system & do you like it? Also the new Doran 360 system can you change the batteries yourself or do you have to send back & pay $50.00 each to change the batteries. Thanks in advance for your response. Dan

Stay far away from Saf-tee. They charged a lot of people's credit cards and delivered no product. I had to dispute the charges after receiving no product after a month.

OK what about the Doran 360. Can the end user change the batteries or do they have to send back to factory and charge allot to replace? Thanks Dan

Talk to a good, honest Pressure Pro dealer to get the straight answers. I recommend Mike McFall (pomcfall@gmail.com). It doesn't cost nearly $50 to get new batteries, and the batteries should last around three years. I have a PP system monitoring 14 tires and it is wonderful.

I learned with my old Tire Sentry system why Pressure Pro doesn't have do-it-yourself battery changes. The Tire Sentry had reliability issues, mostly related to using batteries that weren't quite "direct replacements". I had to buy batteries from Tire Sentry to get the system to work. Don't even consider Tire Sentry.

I've no experience or comments on Saf-Tee.

Check with these folks for the Saf-Tee system. Tweety has a good rep, I believe. - http://www.tweetys.com/

Question relative to the "new" doran system will be capably and promptly answered if addressed to Debbi - gerdes_deborah@doranmfg.com

Doran 360 batteries question. I guess I answered my own question. I called Doran they called me back today. Batteries supposed to last 7 years, Lithium batteries. To replace you have to mail back to Doran & pay 29.95 each wheel unit if you still have your receipt, if not then its 49,95 each. I also asked where the unit is built, ya you guessed it China. So I guess I'm going to buy a China build tire pressure monitor to monitor my China built tires, Makes since to me. All I have read so far looks like a good system, I will probably by one, Dan

I don't really know how long a PressurePro battery lasts. Does anyone have a system where the batteries have failed? Is it really three years compared to Doran's claimed seven years?

It seems funny that PressurePro would allow such a disparity, since lithium batteries, if that is the difference, are easily obtainable by PressurePro too.

I believe Pressure Pros sender battery life is 4-5 years, at which time you send it in for replacement for the cost of the battery alone. The senders are are also smaller and lighter than the Doran, which may expiain the difference in battery life.

Are Saf-Tee Tire Monitoring System back orders been filled by their distributor- www.truckerpartstore.com? Reportedly, back orders are being filled now!! Truth or fiction??

If you have received the new smaller sensor Saf-Tee system, what are your initial experiences and observations in using this system??
