Does anybody have a pilgrim or know of somebody? How do you like it? Is it built to withstand 10 years of ownership. Im leaning towards the cirrus crk-5 or the 1500 series. I could sure use some input or some articles to read on them. Thanks all and be safe.

The Cirrus series is Pilgrims light weight line. That said the weight has to be cut from some where, like most lights that is from the frame and construction materials. Will these units stay together for 10 years? No one knows since they've only been out about 3 years. That said Pilgrims other products are well built and with proper maintenance should last as long as you wish to keep it. If your tv can handle the weight, I'd stay away from the light weights,JMHO.

I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 with a hemi and auto. I pull a 24ft dutchmen travel trailer now and get 7.5 mpg. I had the truck before the camper and getting a diesel is out of the picture. I pull about 1000 miles a year. Our son (24yrs old) is adding to the family (grandson) the wife and I and need some more room.

We have a Open Road by Pilgrim, so I cant speak for the Cirrus by Pilgrim. I can speak for Pilgrim as a company though. They are WONDERFUL!!!

We have had our Open Road since June 0f 2003 and have had some minor things go wrong, but our dealer took care of them right away. Pilgrim really cares about their customers after the sale.

Good Luck

You might want to look at the Crossroads Cruiser line, When we were getting ready to buy the Pilgrim was on our short list nice unit, but the crossroads was 1800lbs lighter Actual weight took both units to the scales. I went with the lighter weight crossroads.

Hi,

I bought an Open Road in the fall of 2003, after the companies first year of operation. One of the principle owners is Dave Hoefer. He was the original start up owner of Dutchman Trailers. When he owned that company, he was known in the business as a progressive and forward thinking business man.

There is not a whole lot of difference in weight between the standard Pilgrim line, and the Lite weights. If I tend for the Pilgrim line as the frames would be heavier and the construction materials more HD. As to your question about lasting ten years, that has more to do with your ability to maintain the unit in tip top shape, than whether the trailer left to itself can last ten years of use! I know the company has stood behind my trailer and fixed any thing I've needed, even after the warranty ran out. Most builders would just walk away after saying it's our problem now. I don't think Pilgrim would.

Here is the Pilgrim website, I'm sure there are Cirrus owners who would answer your question.

We have had the Open Road in my signature since July '07, and have been very pleased with both the dealer and Pilgrim Intl.

We don't have the rv you are speaking of, but we do have the Legends CK3-S H5 from Pilgrim Intl. We have had a few minor problems, but were fixed quickly by the dealer. I have e-mailed and called in several questions to Pilgrim and had a quick phone call back to see that all of our questions were answered. Pretty impressive company, with service after the sell, in our opinion.

Happy rv'ing,

Earnest and Nancy

We're on our Third Pilgrim, they are heavy trailers and IMO they are built to withstand much more abuse then half of the RV's built today. Several Friends with puma's, cougar's and others have all said they wished they would have looked at the Pilgrim models before buying theirs. The only problems that I have is the trash left behind after putting the thing together. I spent several days on all three cleaning.. No problems at all with any of the interior items. Like I said though, these things are heavy and I suggest you have a heavy duty to pull. I added the below website where I purchased mine.
