Thanks for the feedback. I'm not dead set on a pilgrim, I was looking for some opinions on the quality and on the company in general. You were all very helpful.

I wouldn't have anything but a Pilgrim. We are on our second one and absolutely love them both! We had a Pilgrim TT and upgraded to a Legends 5er when we started fulltiming. The quality is heads and tails above any of the others IMHO for the price of the unit. We looked at the exact same floorplan as our Legends in the equivalent Sandpiper. Prices were within a $1000 of each other but the fit and finish and material quality stood out on the Legends.
I do believe that they are better built than most of the others in their price range and as others have said, will last as long as you want them to and take care of them.
'06 Chevy CC/LB 4x4 3500 DRW Dmax/Alli a few go fast mods
'08 Pilgrim Legends 37QB4S-H5 full-timing ready!
JT Strongarms, 5th Airborne, few custom touches
Me (DH), DW, darling little boy and sweet little girl.
Our fulltiming website link to come soon!

Hey haulinbass02, where do I find a map of the USA to put on my camper? My wife and I are just getting started in rving and want to show everybody were we have been too. I love this site there are so many knowledgeable people on here, and for the most part get along just fine with each other.

Raptor,
I am the Pres of the Open Road owners group. There is a Pres of Pilgrim owners also. Don't have one for the other two lines yet. On Pilgrim's company web site you will see Campers Club the links are there.

Last January I pulled my 24'Coachmen Catalina Lite to Florida for our annual 2 1/2 month escape from the cold (we live in Cary, NC). Our 3rd stay was at Myakah River state park. We intended to attend the Tampa RV Show. It was raining Thursday so we did not go but our neighbors did! They gave us their tickets good for the second day@X!**$.
Yup - you guessed it we bought a new trailer - impulse buy (shame on us).
We purchased the Pilgrim 1500 Lite 26PFK that was on display and traded in our Coachmen (probably got put to sleep)but the Coach was 10 years old I have no idea if the hubs were ever serviced, the roof membrane was bubbling, water heater quit while at Myakah and the AC was noisy. I bought it used (3rd owner from a coastal enviroment and everything was heavily rusted underneath) oh well, enough of the justification.
We absolutely LOVE the Pilgrim and it tows like a dream. It is easier to back up than the 24' Coachmen. From Myakah we went to Collier Seminole and then on to Key Largo (John Penekamp State Park).
At the bridge construction just before Key Largo we hit one H*** of an invisible bump and I expected everything to be dumped inside but on arrival nothing had escaped. I think the Trail Air axle option helped a great deal as well as the integrity of the trailer.
I was able to speak with a factory rep at the show and he said the 1500 Lite Series was specifically desigened to be pulled with a 1/2 Ton truck. He said he makes deliveries with his Avalanche all the time. The coach has a ladder and the rep said youcould have a party on the roof.
I have a Silverado Xtended Cab 1500 5.3L with Tow Haul and limited slip diff but my axle is 3.55 - not the best for towing but the trailer rolls along like a dream, it is light and I have enough power and it is very stable. I have an equalizer hitch with a friction sway bar but I did not have any need for the sway bar on I95 and I75.
Our only complaints at this point that we have are:
Electric/Gas Water Heater does not make the water hot enough.
Tub surround needs a couple of more fasteners for snug fit.
We love the kitchen counter space ( hope the metal looking ABS sink stands up) and the 15K ac will freeze you.
There could be more heater vents but I guess they are adequate. We have the fiberglass front with LED's and the aluminium wheels are slick. The awning is quite long (covers both doors) and I think I will get a center support. Not sure if we like the foot flush china toilet (dometic) as it is "gravity" after having a Thetfort.
The Roman Shades sure beat the light weight venitian blinds and the LCD tv and the DVD/CD Audio installed works and shows quite well although I think the seat cushions could be a little firmer, we also like the outside speakers.
Although an impulse buy with no research we think we got a well built trailer that is very functional for 2 adults and 1 old (14) lab mix. I think the one piece floor and the bonded aluminium structure will wear quite well.
