I did a tire change from 15 to 16 inch tires on my 5er. I have about 3 inches. I have had a chance to pull it some since the change. I have had no clearance issues as of yet, but I am watching close.

Yep it looks like you have the exact same trailer as me just a year newer.
I bought mine last June.
What kind and size of tires are on yours.
I have 205/75/15 Duros.
We bought our at the end of August. The '08 had just come out I think. Anyways I guess I'm crawling under the damn thing again this weekend to check it all out. I didn't buy the extended warranty so I better get it in soon if it needs something. I'll check the tire size tonight and post back. But that size seems familiar. I'd hate to go smaller tires, that just means they are spinning faster. I would think that and the weight factor could increase the chance of a blow out.

JCasper wrote: Sitting on the street with 2/3 water there is like you say 2-3" of clearance. Not enough.
I just checked mine as it is vertually the same trailer. 2.5" Maybe 2.75" clearance with 50 gallons fresh water and just permanent stuff loaded. I don't see that mine have rubbed or it is very slight if they have. I had thought about a larger tire but not any more. Even 1/4" less clearance could start the same trouble.
Please post how the lift kit works out.

I will keep this thread updated. I should have the trailer back on the 15th. I will then put the larger tires on it and take it to the beach for the first weekend of spring break (21st-25th).
I hope it all works because we are headed to the grand canyon in May.

Since the frame is Lippert and Lippert is, well, a questionable manufacturer, is it possible that the frame was shipped to Keystone with the wrong springs?

Anything is possible. I have heard that about Lippert before.
The problem is Keystone does not care.
I am not sure if I will buy another keystone again after seeing how they treat their customers

I picked up my trailer today with it sitting 2" higher.
I will take it in for tires next week. I have not yet decided on what to go with.

I've never noticed that problem with my 266 rell. Two of you with similar issues on the 267bhl makes me wonder if there is a problem with the model in general and this may be a recall issue. Sure would explain why Springdale is paying most of the tab....

Yep, Maybe I should email them a link to this thread.
I will try and keep it TTT to see if we get any more response. Other then this the trailer has worked well.
