My TT has a cover on it. Here is my question. We are to have about 8 to 10 inches of snow tonight. Should I get on TT when storm is over to get the snow off?

Most rv/mh roofs are rated at 300 lbs per sq ft. Your tt should be fine. Sunday and Monday temps should melt it off.

I was wondering this myself. Ohio is getting hit hard with a snow storm as well today and into tomorrow. We aren't supposed to be driving on the roads so it would be hard for us to have to go out to the campground and clean our trailer off.

I'd leave it be, the last thing you'd want to do is add weight by walking around on it. If you just have to have it off, use a ladder and something to pull the snow off. Like a push broom or pole with a board screwed to the end.

If we have more than a foot on the TT I take my snow rake and use a stepladder on each end. That will drag most of it off so the sun can do the rest. Have to stay away from the vents, antennas and skylights.

I think the biggest problem you need to worry about is the melting then freezing. Ice will be very heavy and if you add more snow it just compounds the problem. If your going to have warmer weather in the next few days I'd say you should be okay. Always try to keep the nose of your trailer dropped for run off. (if your not getting inside all the time)

I am still wondering, if they designed it for a snow load that equals a few hundred pounds of pressure per square inch what about the axles? I calculated the cubic foot mass of snow, on a trailer that has 3' of snow and a 33' roof you're talking about over several thousand pounds of snow. What does that do to the axles, exterior brace walls, etc???

We've had more snow than that in my area. I haven't worried about mine, I will let you know later in the spring if I should have worried.
