I need some help. I have a leaking front bunk end which occurred just last year when I was driving in some rain. I have a 05' 17ft Trail Cruiser with screw down bunkend locks. So far no damage that I can tell. I need to know what I can do in order to solve this situation without paying through the nose. If I can do it myself, I will. I have done a search online and I haven't found too much help. ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Yes, most dealers carry a book that has thousands of bulb, D, C and other shaped seals for sale by the foot. My dealer I had for my Jayco HTT ordered from Jayco directly the next "up" size of "D" bulb to seal out a small leak. Later on it was found that certian 2007 Jayco HTT had bunk doors with a "bow" in the middle which was part of my problem. The next sized seal worked great.

Perhaps you can order some new seals and redo all of yours. I think your talking $20 or LESS per door to get all the seals ordered. You can remove the old seals, glean the face of the door/mating surface with "GOO GONE" and go from there.

Good Luck I've been trying for four years! I can't stop the leak while towing in the rain on the front bunk.

My 2 cents worth: the air pressure developed against the door while driving is enough to cause the water that would drain out normally to built up and run into the trailer. I'm thinking of adding a flap of rubber or vinyl roofing over the hinge and the gaps at each end, allowing for drainage at each end.
