I sent a letter to the Chamber of Commerce in Rockey Ford CO, asking for information on the company selling the SAF-TTE monitoring system. Got a call this morning from the Chamber infroming me that they had sent someone over to the SAF-TTE office and found the doors locked with no one there.

I have the feeling they have disappeared. I thought that when the guy from China said they hadn't been paid.

I will be contacting my credit card company tomorrow and send in my dispute letter. I have already filled it out; I was just trying to give them a chance.

JohnnyT I want to say thank you for keeping this thread open. This thread has helped many people stay up on what's happening with this company and product. While there were a few that received their product there are many more that have not and have cancelled in time. A lot of us have been saved by the credit card company reimbursing the money that we charged on the card. It looks like this company has closed. But everyone should be cautious if another company name starts selling the Saf-tee product. I know there are some that have not received their money....and now some with warranty issues.

But if it weren't for this thread and Forum there would be many more who would have lost money on this. Thanks again for staying with it and allowing it to stay open.

I wish to agree with Ozarkwoods. Johnny T has done well by keeping the forum open. We have all learned alot. I am one of the lucky ones in that I have my system and now only need two more sensors. I still have not heard from the BBB in Colorado but as most of you I beleive Saf-Tee has folded. Warantees are only as good as the company that offers them.

I agree with the above 2 posts. Thanks to the forum for allowing us to share info on the subject. I was able to get the CC company to issue credit, so it worked out for me.

I am having problems with three of my Saf-TTE tire monitor sensors. I took a 2500 mile trip and half way through the trip, the passenger side inside rear tire started showing 39 psi (supposed to have 80psi). I pulled off and called my emergency road service. The came out and I removed the sensor so they could check the tire pressure. It was 80 psi. The sensor continued to drop to 31 psi. I turned the alarm off and continued down the road several hundred miles later it started reading 80 psi and up as the tire warmed up. Then a couple of days later it dropped to 64 psi reading. I stopped and checked it myself. This time the tire had 80 psi in it cold. I think this sensor is defective needs replacing.
My other problem is the two sensors on the rear drivers side readings go in and out. I have driven 200+ miles with no readings and then one or both will start reading for a while and the quit. My antenna is located in the cab below the steering wheel behind the plastic dash (Minnie Winnie with Ford F450 cab Class C RV). I do not know is this is an antenna location issue or a sensor problem. The two front tire sensors and the passenger outside tire sensor have worked well.
Can anyone using the Saf-TTE tire monitor system tell me their thoughts. Does anyone have any experience with the correct place to locate the antenna as the instructions that came with the unit are of no help.
Thanks,
Don Hicks

Don,

Tried sending you a PM but......

I have had the system on my RV and toad since May. I had problems with readings from the 2 front tires on the toad, and the inside duals on the RV. I moved the antenna back to the kitchen window (toward the rear of the RV) and it now works fine.

Your problem with the sensor showing low pressure, could be antenna location or that it is not turned far enough onto the valve stem. If you feel it is so tight that you may strip the threads, you may have to slice the plastic seal a bit to make it thinner.

Have you tried moving the faulty sensors to a different tire to see if it does the same thing? This would verify for sure if it is the sensor.
