Okay, I have 2 wires under the hood, one behind the box labeled "after market 12v trailer supply" and the other under the master cylinder not labeled at all. Both are red with a black stripe. Do both need to be hooked up and to which studs?

Thanks in advance for your help..

This is a Duramax.

McIrish, thanks for that link, that actually makes much more sense then the first one, the label on the wire behind the fuse box did not make sense to be for the 12 volts to the trailer and since I have the IBC, I don't need that one as it is for the aftermarket brake controller. Thanks again...

Scot, I have a 2008 Chevy 3500, I have the IBC also and I only had to connect the charge wire with the M6 nut. The IBC was connected by GM. The charge wire puts a charge to the Trailer to keep the battery charged in the 5th wheel. GBY....

I too have the IBC but the instructions on the first site said the 12 volts was behind the fuse box and the label on that wire was deceiving and they are both red with a black stripe so I just wanted to be sure which was which.. I'm towing from MD to TN this week, first trip with the new TV, I'm looking forward to see how it performs...

Just remember that if you don't have nuts on the studs and need to buy them that they are metric not SAE.
