I have reserved a group camping area in Western MA at the Indian Hollow Campground. This campground is operated by the US Army Corp of Engineers and is quite remote. The grounds consist of 2 group sites only. They are located on the banks of the Westfield river, upstream of the Knightville Dam. There is a potable water source on the grounds, but no dump station. The grounds also have flush toilets as well as shower facilities. There is swimming allowed in the river, as well as hiking and horse trails.
I have paid in advance for the two nights (at $85 per night) so it would not take very many people for it to be quite inexpensive. Keep in mind that the $85 is for the entire group, not per camper. I am looking for a group of about 6 to 10 campers.

I will be adding more info as time allows and info is gathered. I hope to visit this campground soon to scope it all out. It is also visible via google earth. (Update, I visted the grounds in April, pictures below)

This is due to the fact that you must approach the campsite from the NE. There appears (on some maps) to be an approach from the SW, but actually this would place you on the wrong side of the river.

We have never dry camped since we start rving, but have talked about doing it. Used to do it when tenting, so this will be a new experience for Deb and the kids.

Actually since I added the second battery to my TT and use battery lanterns we typically can go an entire weekend without power issues, its the gray water accumulation that I worry about
With regard to the gray water, at least they have toilet facilities. So maybe one of those blue wagons can be utilized somehow. My new rig came stock with 2 grp 24's. Not as much as I used to have, but should be plenty, especially with the Honda used as a charger. Mark, I can charge your batteries up during the day with the Honda and my charger. Plus I have the 4Kw genny for the occasional big draw items you may need. LocoMike has a Honda also, and I think Jay has a Yamaha. So you should be able to tap in as needed. Fridges and hot water run on propane, so just make sure you have at least half a tank.
Black tank storage is never an issue for a couple of days, and even less if you take advantage of the facilities on site, but like Jay said, gray tank storage can be close. But we can deal with that in several ways.
