I told her it would depend if the new smell is to strong since it just come off the line last week. This is our first new tt. Is the smell strong with all new tt or does it depend on the Manufacture ?
I used to deliver new RV's for a living and I can tell you they all smell. The smell is less in colder weather and more intense in warm weather.
I remember one time when I stopped for an overnite stay in a truck stop in southern Kentucky. It was about 98 degrees outside. I needed to change clothes, so I went inside the 5er I was delivering and nearly passed out. The smell from the glues and adhesives were so intense my eyes were burning.
If you can, I would let that new TT air out for a day or two in the driveway. JMHO.

We have 50 amp in our side-of-house drive. Our DP is used for "camping" when we have too many houseguests. The DW and I are the ones who "escape" to the campground each night. Takes the stress out of family visits. The grandkids enjoy it as much at our home as at a RV park.

I know we're "chomping at the bit" up here in Michigan to get out. We pass ours everyday when we leave to take the kids to daycare and school, and my 3 yr old says the same thing every morning......"lets hook up the camper daddy....let's hook up the camper".
First weekend we have over 60 we will be pushing those slides out, cranking up the battery, and camping in the driveway!!

Been awhile since any of the family has actually 'drive-way' camped, my DDs used to do it each summer with their friends (for a sleep-over) before we took our big trip and had the PUP up and loading it.
I have even had my Girl Scout meeting in it a few times....when it was up and being loaded for a trip, cause the girls wanted to see inside. So we all sat at the table, couch, beds and had our meeting in the PUP, planning our upcoming summer camp-out as a troop. We also did crafts in the PUP They thought it was great fun. Below is a photo of my GS troop after we had our crafts finished in front of our PUP in the drive-way:

Each year when we pop the PUP up..for spring cleaning, etc. the DH and I will sit in it for an hour having a nice glass of wine and conversation/planning our upcoming trip. It is nice to enjoy it that way too.
Unfortunantly, with our HOA rules/policies where we live now, we can only have our PUP in the drive-way for only 48 hours. So we are usually very busy just getting it loaded and checked out then popped back down for our trip. No time to really 'camp' in it. Which is a bummer!
HAPPY CAMPING!!

We did it too. Presidents day it turned out we were all off work/school, and it was an unseasonably warm 70 degrees out so it seemed too good an idea to pass up. We opened up the slides, put out the awning, and fired up the grill. got a little work done around the camper trying to get it back into shape, but it was a much needed shot of camping. Probably the best burger ive had since last fall. DS asks every weekend now if we can going camping at home. Only another week until were camping away from home!

Haven't camped in the driveway since hurricane Rita knocked out power for a week in 2005, but with the cost of fuel and the economy in general, we might spend out vacation in the driveway.

My boy and I sleep in the rig periodically during the camping season when we are not away camping. Th 5th is in the yard and we see it all the time. We might spen a few more night this year though. The DW will not stoop that low as she indicates..... She thinks we are nuts!!!!!!!
