Nothing wrong with camping in the drive. This is how we have spent the first few nights of owning our last 2 5ers.

If you want the real, authentic, new age outdoor experience when camping in your driveway...make sure to run a generator a few feet away all night, with the air conditioing running, a stereo blasting Led Zepplin and the tinkle of windchimes. If you can stand even more realism, throw a couple of pieces of creosote soaked ex-telephone pole wood on a smoldering camp fire next door! Ahhh, the great outdoors!

Hey, Why not camp with friends. We on occasion take our TT to a friends yard and camp with them in their yard , than they would bring their TT to ours. We situate the trailers so we can have a fire in between.Sometimes we forget where we are. We usually run extension cords out for power, but have to rely on holding tanks. We do this in the cooler months so AC is not needed. If you got the room, what the heck.

Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping

We will be pickin gup our new tt this Saturday and my daughter wants to have a girls night out(we did the regularly with the last tt).The only problem is the boys want to stay in it also.
I told her it would depend if the new smell is to strong since it just come off the line last week. This is our first new tt. Is the smell strong with all new tt or does it depend on the Manufacture ?

Can you believe that my husband was hassled by Code Enforcement this morning because our pop-up camper was in our driveway, hooked up to the electric from our house? We live in a non-deed restricted area and our house and front yard are immaculate, while down the street we have a neighbor will all kinds of junk piled up in front of his house and driveway. We just got back from a camping trip and had the camper up for cleaning, etc. She wanted to make sure no one was living in the camper and said she would be back to check up on the situation.

Well, we kind of ARE living in the driveway!! I think thats terrible having code enforcement come by like that... The boys are out there now playing in their bunks. We are up to 4 nights in a row, driveway camping. I bought them some "decorations" (foam type spiderman and pokemon things) for them to hang up and decorate their area.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a shelf in a bunk for a kid who wears glasses?? Knowing my DS< he would use it as a small nightstand and put his drink and book on it too....I dont think I want to drill holes in the wall.

You know, since desiel prices are so high ($4.15/gal) out here in Sunny SoCal, and I dont have the hitch in my new truck yet, I was thinking about doing some driveway camping this weekend. I almost mentioned it to DW, but feared she'd laugh at me!! I thought I was the only one poor enough to come up with such an idea! My two year old DD loves when I grab the 5er keys. She runs out to it and bangs on the door. Poor girl tries to lift out the steps too.

After reading this thread, I'm asking DW!! Wish me luck!!

You can pick up a school locker organizer to hang in the bunk area - perfect for glasses, watch, small flashlight, kleenix. Very cheap, we got one at Target, I think. Won't do for a drinking glass or a book bigger than a paperback.

It stuck to the wall with velcro, or will hang on a hook.

Why is it that they (gestapo types) always hassle those that try to abide by the rules while they let those that could care less slide by...is it lack of guts ?
