We have just made reservations for 9 days for Myrtle Beach Travel Park. First time ever to this area. Just the hubby and me. What are some interesting things to do and see in the area. Also, we love good seafood.........any recommendations???? Thanks in advance. Tina

Look for the Seafair restaurant ,it's south of Piratesland a couple miles. Great seafood buffet, you can tell by the million cars out front. Then you can walk around the outdoors mall that goes around a lake in the middle,I forgot the name though, but it's great at night time.

We live about 45 minutes from MB and go there several times a month. When you get at the campground just pick up one of the many tourist type books that they have. These will show you what is available and you might find a discount coupon in there too. There is plenty of shopping, night life, and food in the area...take a day trip to Charleston, Savannah (SC) or Calabash (NC)--you will not be disappointed.

From MBTP, I'd go up to Calabash to get some good seafood.

Its Broadway at the beach. A great place to spend a good part of the day. Plenty of shops, restaurants all situated around a nice lake. Ripleys Aquarium, Imax theatre,Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, just to name a very few.
Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping

The Resturant named is about 45 minutes south if you get clear roads.
The shopping area is 30 minutes south.
Go to Calabash for food, 20 minutes north.
Barefoot Landing and Tanger outlets for shopping 2-3 miles.
Great area!

Tons of Outlet Stores.
The town of Calabash has the best seafood by far. North of MB
Gotta hit Broadway at the Beach, tons to do there.
You will have sensory overload with everything that is there to see and do.
I guess the only big negative is the traffic. Not too bad now. But will be horrible come middle of May to middle of September.
Have fun!!
