Brookgreen Gardens across Hwy 17 from Huntington Beach St. Pk. The largest collection of American made sculpture in the world is displayed outdoors in a park setting. Admission price is good for 5 days because you can’t see it all in one day.
B & B Antiques, 1615 Hwy 17s in North Myrtle Beach. Just go, it’s not like anything you’ve ever seen before.
All the putt-putt golf courses up and down hwy 17 have reopened after their winter maintenance shut downs.
The new Hard Rock amusement park scheduled to open in the spring has a free backstage tour.
The NASCAR speed park on Bypass 17 is open and has a skill level track for all ages.
Go to see Market Commons on the old airbase property. It’s quite impressive.
See you down the road!

Note: We mostly eat out at lunch. These recommendations are based on our lunch time visits
Logan’s Road House
Hwy 17 Bypass
Worth the trip for the dinner rolls alone.
Sea Captains House
Right on the ocean in MB around 30st N. and Ocean Blvd
A perennial favorite
Dagwoods Deli
The one on Hwy 17bus in Surfside.
I recommend the Philly cheesesteak.
Liberty Tap room and grill
7651 Hwy 17 bus in the northern part of Myrtle Beach, about a mile south of the 17's split.
Excellent Grouper sandwich, lots of beers on tap, more a restaurant than a bar atmosphere at lunch time, never been there at night.
The best kept secret in Myrtle Beach and the only buffet I can recommend
Prossiers BBQ in Murrells inlet.
Go for the 11 to 2 lunch buffet, it ain’t fancy, but it’s really good food and it’s cheap. $5.99 for the buffet and $1.50 for sweet tea.
I recommend Thursday for the meatloaf.
Ultimate California Pizza
It’s a local chain, I’m sure there is one up near where your staying, they deliver.
I get the Big Kahuna and ask for extra red sauce .
River City Café
Another local chain owned by the same people as Ultimate California Pizza, The Divine Dining Group. Good place for burgers.
Bubba’s Fish Shack, also a Divine Dining Group Restaurant at the ocean in Surfside.
We get the Grouper finger basket
Note: I have no affiliation with the divine Dining Group.
Thorny’s on Hwy 17 bus in downtown MB. Good Burgers.

Since you are in North MB, you might want to spend a day on the SunCruz Casino boat. It is docked in Little River.
MB also has a baseball team... You will see good baseball as it is one of Atlanta's farm teams..
MB also has a stock car race track... Located on the 501 next to the outlet stores.

If you like something to do at night, like a musical show, I would highly recommend the Carolina Opry show. This is very close to the Travel Park. They have a regular show, and on certain nights they have a "Good Vibrations" show. They both are really good. The Alabama theater is about a mile from the campground at Barefoot Landing. They have a show "One" that is also very good. They will have other acts now and then, just check there schedule. The "Ledgends in Concert" show is South about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. This is a good show also. They have different copy artist. The guy they have that does Elvis is pretty good. They will have brochures on all these at the office when you check in. Have fun!

I'm going to disagree with most people here. We didn't care for the Calabash restaurants at all.......everything......and I mean everything is deep fried. We loved camping at the Myrtle Beach Travel Park and visited many local restaurants which we loved. You'll have a great time.

We were in Calabash just a few months ago, and DH and I had some wonderful broiled seafood. We don't do fried.
