Pawleys Island is fun, you can watch hammocks being mad and a lot of small shops. Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the beach, both shopping. Broadway used to have fireworks one night a week. We like Capt. Georges (near Broadway at the beach)for the seafood buffet. Seafare used to be our favorite and then a few years ago we went to both and liked George's better. If you like pawn shops, Dick's is great. Have gotten some nice jewlry there. The strip can get very busy and we try and stay away from there. We are going again this year in July. You'll have a great time.

IMOP. Thr north end is the best of MB. You don't even have to get on 17 to get to the CG, Everything you need in on the same road. And yes Calabash is considered the best seafood. Everyone else copys them.
You are also close to Barefoot Landing. Great outlet, and T-Bonez is a great place to eat.
You can also walk to the Apache Pier from MBTP.
Also. In your CG packet. There will be many suggestions of things to do, and even some cupons for free, or 1/2 off stuff. And you are not too far from Wilmington NC, With all it's history. Agreat place to vist, and let children learn, and explore.
Have a ball!

Try Chesapeak House(sp?). Close to your cg on hgwy 17. I agree with others, Broadway on the Beach and Barefoot Landing have tons to do. Oh yeah, MB is the putt-putt capital of the world. tons of courses. I like North Myrtle Beach better, but no good cg's up there. You are halfway between North MB and MB. Have fun, we will be there for 3 days in Aug. on our way back from Disney. Staying at the MB KOA. Nice cg, stayed there last summer.

Calabash,NC and Broadway at the Beach. Can't pick one over the other so do both of them......but not on the same day. Many different types of eats and shops and fun things to do at BatB...you will have a ball then enjoy good ole MBeach sand.

We just stayed at the Travel Park for over a week at Myrtle Beach and absolutely loved this place. Our site was right on the ocean and looking out each morning at the sunrises was breathtaking. Everyone was very friendly and we made some great friends from many states. There is so much to do here in Myrtle Beach. If you love seafood restaurants, definately go to The Original Benjamin's Seafood Buffett...there was over 170 various foods (including all you can eat lobster, crab legs, you name it!) Also I would highly recommend checking out Huntington Island State Park, many fun trails to hike and the castle there was very historical and interesting to learn about. We truly enjoyed our stay here and I wish you the best of luck!!

Don't miss the Gulf Stream Cafe in Garden City. Best food in the area, but go early or get reservations! Also Sam's Corner in Garden City is an experience not to be missed.

Original Benjamin's on Restaurant Row is our favorite buffet. Best crab legs we've found anywhere.

Great shopping at the outlet parks, Broadway at the Beach, and Barefoot Landing.

If you're into golf, there are over 100 courses in the area. Some just okay, some great courses. Our son was a PGA pro there for awhile, and we got to play on several of the courses. My favorites are World Tour, Burning Ridge (short course), and Caledonia.

For some PG to R rated adult fun don't miss the Dualing Piano Bar at Broadway at the Beach. Stop by one of the kiosks to get coupons so you don't have to pay the cover charge of $5. Take along lots of song ideas for the requests.

Depending on your age, the show Good Vibrations is a neato, cool flashback to the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I second "Crocodile Rocks" Piano bar at Broadway at the Beach. I stay 2 weeks at Myrtle beach Travel park during Christmas. Also really like "Sticky Fingers" Bar-B-Q that is located on the south side of Coastal Grand Mall right next to the airport. 5 Guys burger and Fries is a excellent lunch stop as is El Cerro Grande Mexican Restaurant. There are a many locations but closest to the park is about 5 miles north on 17. 5 guys is in the same shopping center as Lowe's and El Cerro Grande Mexican Restaurant is in the center behind TG Fridays.
Apache Pier is just a 1 mile stroll along the beach from the campground. Great area as you can do as much or as little as you want.
Battleship USS North Carolina is well worth the time to drive to Wilmington. Wife and I spent 4 hours walking through the mighty ship.

Both Wilmington and Charleston are great day trips. Also, for some odd reason, my family enjoyed the Dixie Stampede. It was an evening of good food and great fun.
