I just picked up my 2005 King of the Road. How do I determine what my pin weight is??

That would depend on what model you have. The only way to really know is to take it to the scales and weight it. Their web site lists the dry hitch weights for 2008 models at 2,014 for the lightest and 3,050 for the heaviest but that is just a guideline. Practical weight will be more than listed after you are loaded up.

Take the whole unit to the scale house.

Weigh the tow vehicle by itself.
Weigh the tow vehicle and trailer connected.

Pin wieght is the difference of the sum of the tow vehicle axles before and after.

Dry weight of the trailer is the difference between the sum of the tow vehicle axles before and the total of all axles after.

If you do the same weighing after fully loaded, then you can figure out how much you are carrying and what axles the weight is landing on.

The unit I have is a 2005 Royal Villa 34BW. The weight of the unit is somewhere between 14000 and 15000.

That model is no longer listed on their web site but you can contact them.

The best way is to weigh it as DUYGuy said though.

The posted weight of your 2005 34bw is 14800. I know because I just bought one myself, and the weight is posted on a plate on the outside of the unit.

I have the same RV and my Pin weight is 3,600lbs LOADED which is at 24% of the total RV weight. It depends on how much you carry. I never weighed it empty since I never travel empty, but I would guess its around 3,200 lbs. The 14800 lbs is the max the trailer can weigh loaded. There is no real way to know except going to the scales. Tell the person running the scale what numbers you want to have ( truck only, truck+rv, RV only, rear axle/pin weight )and he will tell you what to do. Ask again for info on where the best scales for your area are. Someone will know!
