I have a Winnebago Aspect 26A and have noticed that the coach batteries are not charging when the engine is running. Everything else is working properly. I spoke to the dealer the other day about a couple of issues and he said that it is a bad solenoid that controls the flow of charge. Does anyone know if this is a quick fix that I can handle. Where is the solenoid located? Sometimes I just don't want to leave the MH for a week for a quick job.
A bad solenoid sound right, most of the time there on the fire wall in the engine compartment. I have seen switches that control the solenoid.
Find all the solenoids check the control voltage and then check the heavy voltage side to see if the good.

If the actuating coil in the solenoid is getting power and it is working you can have someone turn the key on and off while you explore under the hood. You may hear it. If you don't hear anything put a volt meter on the small terminal and ground of the solenoids you find and see if power comes to it when the key is turned on. If it does that is the culprit.
