Also, are fires allowed at the MB travel park? Could not find it on their website.

thanks

When we were down there last week, some people had taken their own fire ring for a camp fire. Also, some people did something I thought was kind of tacky. They were on an ocean front site and it was very windy. So they dug a hole in the grass down to the sand and had their camp fire in it.
But in answer to your question, yes people had camp fires.

We have stayed at MBTP but have toured the other big names, our reason for MBTP is that they do not allow golf carts, I have two little ones who like to ride bikes and I didn't feel safe at the ones that allowed under age kids to drive the carts, Yes I know it says you have to be 16 to drive but I saw many kids younger then that driving, besides all that its so much quieter without golf carts speeding around day and night.

BTW we are heading back to MBTP May 31st-June 7th I can't wait!!

We stayed at Huntington Beach State Park last year at Easter and are headed back this year for Spring Break (hopefully a bit warmer than last year). The park is beautiful, well kept, with very nice sites. Highly recomend it.

We love Huntington Beach State Park. When we lived in Charleston we went up there often. We were tenting then and now we have a pop up.... but we liked being right there on the ocean... just over the sand dune.

We stayed at Myrtle Beach State Park in March last year & loved it. Of course the weather was perfect. They do have some full hookups there. It is a short walk to the Beach.
We thought it very pretty.

Abe,

We stayed up in the 700 section by the lake (shaded sites in 700 and 500 sections) and people up there had fires. We would have except it was just to warm.

If it's listed in the Yellow Pages, the government shouldn't be messing around with it.
