I think this is a very complex issue, Lower rates mean it's less expensive to buy your RV, but, as someone else pointed out more expensive to fuel it.
So, they are either going to get you coming or going, but either way, You get got
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

The rates were lowered to protect the banks, not the consumer!

It has been a stated goal of DC to increase exports and decrease imports by driving down the $$$ value relative to other countries. Japan had ZERO interest rates for years but not sure what that did but it may have reduced the saving rate that was very high.

Have to really wonder what the Federal Reserve will do when their interest rates hit zero. Will they pay us to borrow money?

Sorry, but I don't believe that for a minute. The current price is a product of market manipulation through the futures market as a hedge against the falling dollar and is not based on the current (and falling) demand.
It will be interesting to see if the Fed's strategy of record low interest rates does any good. On one hand, we just refinanced to a terrific rate and on the other, our savings grow is zero or close to it.

The rich will as always stay rich, the poor, as always, will stay poor, and those of us in the middle will get the wine bottle cork treatment.
I was laughed at years ago when I said the telecom and tech stocks would tank and I'm laughed at today when I say the inevitable economic correction is just being put off.
Other my 401K I'm again out of the market. I purchased CD's late last year, have funds split between four banks, have income generating commercial property, and have purchased some local real-estate paper backed by property. our market is slow but values did not rapidly increase so are staying steady.
I'm not sure any of us know where this thing is headed but as I'm now retired, I'm just spreading my savings around in hopes of not taking too bad of hit in any market segment.
Currently I'm concerned about two areas of inflation; groceries and my stomach.

I am not laughing Dick Joe, most of your posts tend to agree with my thoughts. However, I think we are in the minority. I hope your skin is as thick as mine.
