We're home and unpacked. Please post a courtesy note when you get home to let the rest of us know you got there safely.

Thanks again to everyone who made it a most memorable trip. I think I'm going to surprise Tina and put a horseshoe pit in the back yard when she's not looking. That was too much fun to do so seldom.

Cheers!

Just wanted to say a huge "THANK YOU!!!!" to everyone We had a GREAT time at Killens, and were saying that it was one of our most memorable gatherings! OK, so it was close to home, for us, but we had a REALLY good time visiting with everyone, the tours seemed to be a hit, we learned to play horseshoes and croquet, I think I've mastered Jello Shots (both making AND taking them - LOL!), and spending time with you folks was priceless. Heck, even the weather was amazing for the ENTIRE trip, which rarely happens! LOL! We enjoyed bouncing from campfire to campfire this year, and, aside from the ONE log Chris couldn't resist burning in the wee hours of morning, we never even used our fire ring. Now THAT's a first!

Phil - Chris is STILL talking about those fire tongs. I figure if a pair doesn't show up in the mail within a few weeks, he's gonna be suggesting a Saturday drive to GB! LOL!

Hope everyone made if home safely. We're unpacked, and the mountain of laundry is calling....

Sharon - Can't WAIT to see the pics! LOL!

We arrived home at 2:00. I have to agree with the other posts, this was a fun weekend. I will post the pictures later, but I have to warn you...they are pretty incriminating--Although I have to admit, the Jell-o company would love the publicity!!!!

We arrived home around 3:30 had a great trip home, no traffic, no rain. Nick slept the entire ride home.
It was a great weekend. We enjoyed every minute of it, except when Rocky ranger made his rounds! Thanks to Chris and Tina for organizing us and especially for getting us out to the base. For me that was a very moving day!

Until next time..................

Hi All,
We're home and mostly unpacked.
We were 2nd to last at the dump station, so we weren't on the road until 1:45 .
We had a blast, thanks to Frank and Sharon for the good food, Chris and Tina for organizing and the jello shots, and to everyone, thanks for the camaraderie.
Mindy has offered the possibility of giving us some space to post pictures, otherwise we can create a webshots rallie page that we can all post to and download from.
Well everyone take care, Elk Neck seems way to long away, maybe we should do a mini somewhere else too
Just in case, we're at Hickory Run July 26 - at least the 31st. We'll be doing a day at Camel Beach, a day hiking including the boulder field and a few days of strict r & r.

Oh and one more big thanks to Chris, both boy's were talking about the plane on the way home, and when we dropped off Colin's friend he imediately started telling his mom and sister all about the base.

Today is the only day that you can use to take steps towards the great future you see. Yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow never comes, it’s always today.

We're back. Just heard Sharon's voicemail as we had no cell phone service up on the mountain. Thanks to all for the raising of the beverages. I was raising one around 10pm. Had a Killian's in the air and flames up to 10 feet (Chris, you'd be proud). I haven't read all the posts yet, but, I'm sure ya'll had a great time. We did to. Even with the severe thunderstorms. Great weather mostly, lots of deer and we saw bears yesterday. A momma bear and her 2 cubs. Very exciting and really kewl.

I'll be posting pics soon.

Love ya'll.

Both Steph and CoCo fell asleep until it was time to stop to grab a bite to eat. . .Yup, stopped at a rest stop on 301 and ate yesterday's lunch leftovers. . . .darn the microwave doesn't work on battery! But we're home, unpacked, and now relaxing. Laundry can wait until tomorrow. Can't wait to see the pics!

We're home, safe and sound. Got here around 3pm. Got the RV back in storage and unloaded...I'm about to jump in the shower and then we have to drive up to Bel Air to drop Spencer off at his Grandmother's for an overnight stay. I'm going to work on that picture sight tomorrow, but I was able to throw up the pics I took, so go ahead and click the link in my signature for pics.

Thanks to everyone...it was truly a fabulous weekend with a great group of people. Thanks to Chris and Tina for organizing and WOW awesome base tour...we REALLLLLLLY appreciate it Chris. Sharon..you are a marvelous hostess..thanks so much. Sandy----YUM!!! Nick...next time you can come home with me. And I'm looking for some sweet chairs for myself, Cindy and Stephanie....anyone know where I can get some.

Chris....we're going to try to get up to Gettysburg this coming weekend, if we can swing it with the kids schedules. I'll PM you about those tongs! If anyone else wants those tongs, let me know and we'll see what we can do....Chris is "ordering" two.

Thanks again everyone!! And BTW---I've never had such a relaxing and enjoyable line at a dump station before. LOL

We’ve been home since about 2. The weekend was fabulous. Everyone really helped me to deal with losing my job the manly way, sitting in the woods with friends and getting drunk! We really had a great time and really enjoyed everyone. Can’t wait till Elk Neck so we can see most of you again.
