My dad just bought DH and I a MAGNETIC TRAILER ALIGNMENT KIT. We will be testing it Memorial weekend . Has anyone used them before? Dad said it was a show to watch me direct DH hitch up. I guess he felt sorry for him and bought him these to take my place

Which one do you have? I have the Align-Quik Hitching Guides. They help, but my DW still insists on helping out!

Geez I could have given you mine....I have the align quick, same as partimcmpr, but they don't work....why? Because the frame on the barn doors on the suburban blocks my view of this thing no matter how I attach it.

If I had a regular window, these things would be great!

I'm just about ready to order a set of the Align-Quik ones. They look like a great way to line up.

I use a camera I bought from walmart for $100. I think it is a vr3 or something like that. Wired it to my reverse lights and I velcro the display on the visor.

I got tired of jumping in and out trying to hook up my boat.

I have the hitch aligner that has yellow (looks like tennis balls) mounted on top, they are magnetic. One attaches to truck and other to hitch on camper. They telescope up to a height that is easy to see no matter how high your truck bed is.
It works great and with the same principle as the pictures you show. I can hitch up in less than five minutes now, instead of 49 times of backing up and getting out of truck to look and doing it over and over again.
I bought my set at Cabela's online.

The way I look at it - some thing were just meant to be and go together perfectly like peanut butter and jelly. DH and DW putting on a show while backing in or hitching up for every one else nearby to watch and enjoy is all part of the overall RV experience.

I use Hitchin'Rods. They work well for me and using them puts less stress on the marriage.
