GMC/Chev offer an IBC. For $200 (it has to be ordered as an option - can't be installed later) it is far better then the Prodigy I used to use. I have to say, when adjusted properly, there is no trailer lag or trailer braking too early. The whole thing stops as a unit.

The OEM integrated brake controllers on GMCs don't work with the new electric over hydraulic brakes. So be sure of the braking system on your trailer before ordering the option. I got the integrated brake controller on my new 2008 GMC and am now in the process of installing a P3 to handle the electric over hydraulic brakes on my new Titanium 5th wheel. Apparently from the problems that the installing is having with the installation it's not a simple process to install the new controller and by pass the OEM item.

The GM doesn't work with Dexter E/H brakes and the Ford doesn't work with Carlisle E/H brakes. Exactly opposite for which one does work.
