...you have to put your credit card in the pump for the third time on a single fillup

Just happened on Monday, on the way home from this weekend's trip:

You press "pay inside" on the pump to get around the credit card auto-shutoff limit, and the pump still stops at $250. And you've only put in less than 2/3 of the fuel you need at that stop!

We are trying to keep this thread somewhat light and with humor considering the effect fuel/oil costs are having on rving; rather than becoming another rant regarding fuel and oil costs.

Posts that are basically a rant, or discussion of the current fuel/oil costs, belong here if it is not rv related, and here, if it is rv related. We appreciate your help, thank you.

You know fuel prices are high when....

...the guy who puts the gas into your SUV passes out at the sight of the total cost.

...the cost to insure the car for a year is less than filling up the gas tank.

You know fuel prices are high when....

You pull up to the pump at the gas station on the motorcycle, go squirt into the tank, put the cap back on, pay $10 (while invisibly sticking your tongue out at the teller under the helmet of course for boogalooing you)... Then as you're getting back on, the guy on the other side of the pump that was there before you arrived says "I HATE YOU! I'm in triple digit prices and it's still going and you probably get at least 5 times the mileage I get!"

True story.

. . . your employer now offers a new program where your paycheck is directly deposited to the oil company's account.
