I am in the process of doing some upgrades. I have a Air Safe 25k Air Ride Hitch on the way, should be coming in soon.

I ordered my 5th wheel with shocks, but am thinking of adding Equa Flex Suspension by Trailair.

Has anybody made this upgrade of having shocks and adding the Equa Flex Suspension?? If so did you notice a better ride, and how do you like it?? How easy is the install?? Would rather do it myself and save some money.

Thanks for feedback

Equa-Flex very easy to install, just need a couple of jacks, jack stands and a few basic hand tools. Did not take me very long. I do not have shocks but sure noticed the improvement in the ride with the new Equa-Flex. I would have to say can't hurt to have both.

Equaflex and ez flex give the suspension more travel, thus helping the ride. The shocks are for a different problem and are also great to have. My old low-rider 5er was bottoming out so I had to find springs with more arch and that fixed the ride very nicely. If you have the axle travel to spare, I'd do it in a flash! Craig

My 5er has shocks and I added Equa Flex thinking it would improve the ride in the truck. I could see no difference after adding the Equa Flex in the truck or the 5er.

My 5'er has shocks and I added EquaFlex. Could not tell much difference except on highways with a rough surface. Items in the trailer seemed to ride a little more secure.

Dumb question-Where does one add the Equaflex in or to a truck ?

I'm aware of where the Equaflex units are installed as I have done this on my 5er. That was not the question though.
