I'll never buy another Ford based on my experience with their tranny repair. I had a huge hassle with them under warranty on a rebuilt tranny. I had to research and tell them how to correctly repair it. They knew of course but were unwilling. I forced them to make the third replacement with the correct updated parts and refund the $260 for their totally bogus fluid change in an attempt to get it out of warranty.

Now that is a company that really stands behind their service. Not!

80% of all Ford products are still on the road today.
20% made it home.

However Ford still maker the best looking HD trucks.
Not so for the new "E" series.

Never had a cracked head with a Chevrolet although my wife changed many failed steel shim head gaskets and the odd engine in Astro / Safari vans in her apprentice days in the late 80's. Hydraulic lock with antifreeze leaks.

Mike.

I will have to give Ford credit for one thing. Consistency.
Found On Road Dead is just as true today as it was 30 years ago.

I agree, the 2008 SuperDuty grill looks ugly on the E series 2008 vans.

So have all my Chevy's. My 86 S-10 has 250K on it, has been trouble free for 20 years, aside from a few normal maintenance issues (batteries, tires, exhaust, etc). Next
