My question is simple. I am about to have my first fifth wheel hitch installed and will also be getting a spray on bed liner.
Which would be installed first? The liner or the hitch?
I have read of both being acceptable... but I want to do it right.
Thanks

spray first then hitch.

Which liner are you getting?

I agree with RollingRockTX; bedliner first.

Before I decided on a bedliner, I was looking at Rhino and LineX.

Rhino told me their bedliner should "cure" for 7 - 10 days before installing the hitch.

LineX said I could install the hitch immediately. It's one reason I went with LineX (and I'm very glad I did!).

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!

Thanks a bunch! You have confirmed my initial thoughts... glad to hear from those who have already been down the road

RollingRockTX ... I think I will go with the Line-X. There is a shop near where I work so I can get it done without traveling too far!

curt12914 ... Linne-X was my first choice as well... BTW - I love your tag line -- trailer to sleep 2!

Guess I better get booked in!

Not sure where you work, but I had mine done by LINE-X on Sheldon Drive in Cambridge. Very professional and friendly folks, plus did a great job. Very happy with mine and have had no problems with hitch fitting properly.

cheers and have a great day.

Thanks Moe...

I work in Burlington about 10 minutes from a dealer.
If I need to take a day, I will probably use Cambridge as it is closer to home.

I forgot to mention, if you are getting a Line-X, ask your dealer, they can do some fun stuff with logos etc

I agree with above posts, liner then hitch. RollingRockTX, that is amazing, looks great, wish I would have known they could do that about a year ago! Now I have to buy a new truck!

Thanks...it was fun, the Line-X guy never shot two logos before so they got lots of photos of it.

New truck? Shoot you just got one by the looks of it.

Cheers
