We are going full time as of 5-1 with our new motorhome. We have sold the house and as a back-up plan are putting the majority of our furniture in storage. Until October we will RV here in the Northeast, then we will begin to head south. We have rented an RV lot in Salt Springs, FL for Jan-March or April. If your looking in FL then check out the website 'www.myeliteresorts.com. There were numerous lots for rent. There also are other 'Elite Resorts' in other areas.

What part of Utah are you in? If you are in or around Layton there are two mobile home parks that do have RV parking. If you are are in the SL valley there is a new RV park where 215 and I-15 meet up on the North end.

I own a small house. I rent out the house for enough to cover the payment, insurance & taxes plus a little extra.
I've installed a camper site on the property where I stay for most of the year.
So not only is my lot rent free, the rental is building equity.

SGTJoe, I live and work down in Utah County where we only have 3 parks, after driving thru them I wouldn't want to spend 6 months or a year living in them. I'm going to drive around this weekend and check out the mobile home parks in the area.

Did you check out East Bay at the Springville exit, it's got some pretty good ratings in RV Park Reviews? Also, have you looked at rv park reviews www.rvparkreviews.com/

It's a code violation that's right. Usually they give you a friendly reminder and you have 7 days to comply. After you comply then you can start all over after awhile and it's another friendly reminder to comply within 7 days and so on. It's not all black and white.

That's a great idea, I've looked in the classifieds but have never seen anything or anyone renting out an RV spot. I thought of buying a small lot but the cost of all the hook ups don't make it a very good option.

Just keep in mind that an AWFUL LOT of communities have laws against living in an RV in a residential area. In Topeka I am allowed to have someone living in my yard for only 30 days a year. After that it's a code violation.

We have 20 acres and have a site in the woods for our RV, hookups and all. We have often considered renting it out to other Rv'ers who may want to come to our area to sightsee for shorter stays.

We are also trying to purchase a property in FL that has two houses and an RV pad (complete with hookups) that we will rent as Vacation Rentals... time will tell if it all comes to fruition!

It would be great if there were a site where these typs of properties would be listed... if anyone ever starts one, sign us up!

I did go ahead and post a "RV site wanted" post on craigslist and got a great response. I would definitely recommend this. Just post in the craigslist closest to where you want to live.

Well, it looks like we bought the property in Florida I was talking about. Of course until we go to closing, it's still a bit up in the air.
But, if it all comes through....
There will be at least one RV site that can be rented either alone, or with a 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage. Dock, fishing, privacy.....
If anyone would like more information... email me.
