Howdy All!!

I am trying to fix my Power Gear Slide Out motor (gearmotor) #520317.

Has anyone found a source for used units, parts, or otherwise?

PowerGear would love to sell the complete unit to me and everyone else for $750. I'm just not so excited about that option when it's 4 bolts and 2 electrical sockets to R&R! It's only 3 more bolts and some snap rings to R&R the gearbox off the 12v. motor.

HELP! HELP! HELP!

I had the same trouble last year. I could not find any parts from any one who would sell them to me. I made several calls. I ended up getting the whole motor/gearbox assembly from a dealer. It was under extended warranty so I still had to pay $200 deductible. I could have fixed it with 2 small gears but I could not buy them. Good luck and let us know how you fixed it. BTW, I kept my old unit and took it apart and that is how I knew it was only two small gears that stripped. I think I stripped the gears when I was on too steep of slope and tried to push the slide out when it was going up hill a bit.

Well I bought the MH used at the dealer only auction (good to have friends); so I'm not going to see any warrantee options. I would be interested in buying cores on this model gearmotor...

Right now an 11/16 ratchet wrench does the job fairly well on the slide...

Take the spent gears down to a local machine shop. They can usually direct you to a gear vendor for match up or machine a new set for you.
